Bridesmaids dress...PLEASE HELP ME PICK!

Bridesmaids dress...PLEASE HELP ME PICK!

I'm having a hard time deciding on my bridesmaids dresses, I'm stuck between two dresses. One of them I've loved since I started wedding planning, but one of my bridesmaids (FH's sis) doesn't feel 'comfortable in the dress.' I think she prefers something that's more fitted. So I found another dress that I like and goes with my MOH's dress. The dresses will be chocolate and for my first choice the sash will be bronze. (MOH's dress will be bronze with Brown ribbon at bottom) Should I go with what I liked from day 1 or listen to my BM's opinion?? Which dress do you like?

First dress - my original pick
2nd dress - for bm's the one on the left
3rd dress - MOH's dress (the one on left)

Well the 2nd dress that goes very well with your Moh's dress. I say to make sure they are comfortable with it. I had found a similar dress to the first pic you posted, one bm tried it on and LOVED it but one thing she said was how heavy it was, i tried it on myself and it was. Its important for them to feel comfortable since they have to wear it and not to mention they do spend money on the dress so they should at least like it and feel comfortable in it.

Have you seen the first dress in person? have they tried it on? i say go and have them try both dresses.

I do love the 2nd one though

Thanks! Yea, I've seen both in person and also tried them on. I really like them both and I know the second one goes perfect with my MOH's dress, but I'm kinda scared it's not going to look as nice in brown especially since it doesn't have a sash to bring a lighter color to contrast. Still soo torn.

personally i think it would look great in brown. But you all have to agree on this. My MOH's dress had no sash while my bm's had a sash, so for me it was the opposite. My MOH's dress was a gray color in the store and we ordered it in sand and had no clue what it would look like, as you know the color swatches are so tiny so cant really give you an idea. I also wondered if it would look different since all the bm's had a sash and hers didnt, and about the whole contrast thing but I LOVED her dress and didnt think it made a difference.

Yea, so true about the color swatches being so TINY you can't tell what it'll look like. I loved your BM's dress and MOH's so I probably shouldn't be concerned about the whole sash thing. I'm going to take a trip to RK to look at the dresses for a 3rd time and hopefully finally make a decision with my girls.

yeah i definitely say go back to try and figure it out. See if you can find a VERY similar dress to the one in the 2nd pic in a brown color and have your MOH stand next to the bm's in that dress.

I'm going to add my thoughts, while I love both the dresses I voted for your original pick. Mostly because I have more of a pear shaped figure and the mermaid dress would be a NIGHTMARE on my body. Your first dress is easier for all body types. Of course if the dress shape isn't a problem for your BMs, go for it. I think it would be beautiful in brown.

They are both super hot dresses.. If you have BM's on the thinner side, they are going to look fantastic together..

i personally like the second better..its beatiful..however, u have to remember that no everyone looks good on that dress, is mostly for skinny grls,..lol but is true..
also, the firdt dress i beautiful, but personally i wouldnt used cuz my FH' s cousin used for her bridesmaids and they all complain about how uncomfortable they were and u dont want then to suffer .=(
JUST remember that u cant make everyone happy so pick what u want , but dont be so selfish neither..i hope i help u out..=)

I say go with what makes your BM comfortable. As a former BM many many times, I know how it feels to be stuck buying a dress you HATE and feel uncomfortable in. I let my MOH and one of my BM decide on the dress and let me tell you it is a lot less stressful than having to wonder and worry if everyone likes it. JMO

Re: Bridesmaids dress...PLEASE HELP ME PICK!

I like the second choice a lot I was considering that dress its gorgeous and I think it would be very flattering for everyone (FYI ruching covers anything your bms might be self conscious of, plain satin doesn't)
Do you have the swatch of the brown??
I think it will be gorgeous brown is such a rich warm color, it goes very nicely with everyone's complexion!

I like the first one.

The dress your BM chose is great (and in fact my favorite of all of them) but if you have any BMs with some extra weight it won't look good.

I love #2, and #3 is also really pretty. Those dresses are so different, and I love the mermaid style. I wish my BM's would have picked something like that.
