Please help, I'm really stuck. Does anyone have any ideas of a bridesmaids gift that most women are sure to like/use? I posted a pic of a tote bag, but part of me feels it might be a little bit dull in color or something... Suggestions/ideas/advice, please?

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
How about treating everyone to a spa day the day before your wedding? Manis/pedis and facials?

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
Thank you for your response. However, one of my girls has cystic acne and sees a dermatologist for treatment, so she may not be able to do the facial. The other girls are very committed to their own manicurists/pedicurists and like to handle that stuff themselves.
I heard the gift was supposed to be 'sentimental' and monogrammed and engraved oftentimes, but I'm just at a loss at what to do for them. A few suggestions I had my MOH shot down. Like sneakers from savvy sneaks to match the dress and use for dancing at the reception, jewelry boxes, etc. My time is running out

I like the sneaker idea! That's cute...but if it got shot down...did you get them jewelry for the day? My cousin made us baskets with a bottle of wine, hand painted wine glasses, a candle, some cheeses and crackers and a framed photo of her bm's from the shower. It wasn't expensive for her to do that and we all really liked them, especially the wine!

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
When I was in a wedding I personally liked gift cards, spa days, gift cert for the hotel the reception we were in, etc.
All of the monogrammed/engraved stuff I get kinda just goes to the back of my closet. A girl only needs so many tote bags, jewlery boxes, makeup cases, etc.
I would stick to practical stuff, but thats just my opinion. If your girls are into the more sentimental stuff, go for it!

I was in a wedding last year and we got giftcards from Spawish. It was great! You received a book of participating spas across the country.

Thank you, their site is pretty cool! The thing is that I have 5 bridesmaids and with the cost of the wedding itself (FH and I paid for our own wedding) I just don't have $100.00 to give to each of my girls which I imagine would be the minimum if they were to get something nice?

I agree. I think this basket idea would be a nice idea, everyone enjoys wine and candles. And you can always use wine glasses. You can always tailor the basket to each of your individual bridesmaid's tastes. I was going to do a tote and fill it with the jewelry for the day, slippers, bath and body works stuff and maybe a candle (but I do like the bottle of wine idea too depending on my budget).
Hope this helps!

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
I gave my girls Coach writtlets (the big one's) and an evening bag to match their gowns for the wedding. (oh, and chinese slippers too, but those were only $2 a pair)
for one of my girls - who was my right arm during my planning, I also gave a pair of Lenox earrings which she LOVED!

I am seriously considering doing this for my girls, since many of them live out-of-state. They can pick and choose whatever service they prefer. I might try spafinder.com. I also plan on giving them engraved jewerly boxes and earring to match the BM dress.
How about a picture frame, this way you can get a picture of you and that BM and they allready have the frame for it?

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
my friend took a pic of all the girls together, it was at her bachelorrette party & then put the pic in a friends frame. i thought that was a cute idea. if you are going to have everyone together before then try to do that. she also gave a $25 gift card to the mall..... but the bag is a good idea, i rcvd. one from another wedding & it was great b/c i needed one.. go for a plain black or if white suits the season better...try the flea market for that.

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
Well, thus far I've made each one a necklace to wear and FH said that wasn't enough...um, we have to get 10 gifts just for our bridal party, is he nuts?? So I am thinking of getting something monogrammed, not sure what...maybe a small jewelry box or tote. I really should get on that though!

I got my girls Vera Bradley Tote Bags and Matching Change Wallets. The Bags were $41.00 each and the Wallet were $14.00. Each will get there own design. It was fun to pick the different designs. I got mine in Crabtree and Evelyn in Stony Brook Village. Their website is verabradley.com and they have a list stores that carry their items.

Things Remembered is always great. I am using them for my gifts. They range anywhere in price from $30-$100. You can have things engraved like jewlery boxes or picture albums. They even have matching earring and necklace sets. You should check out there web site.

I bought my girls tote bags from Bath and Body Works with body wash and spray inside and earrings from Macys that I got on sale. I am going to throw a few more odds and ends in the tote as well.

Re: Bridesmaids gifts?
Thank you all for the advice. I've been doing some shopping around and will most likely go for a combo of what you all suggested, basket of goodies and something monogrammed.
