bridesmaids gifts, i don't think i like them anymore

So i have a Tote, necklace from Macy's (about $60), a bridesmaid rhinestone shirt with PJ pants (all bridesmaids have same pants since we are spending the night at the hotel after the rehearsal dinner), a shawl for their dress, some of those foot petal things so their feet don't get sore and other assorted things. I probably spent about $100 total per girl. At first FH and I were thinking about $60 per person but I kept finding stuff that would be cool and now I feel that I should have just gotten them a nice silver necklace from Tiffany's and it would have been the same amount but something they would be able to wear all the time. I feel bad but I can't return everything and we only have 4 weeks left.

Are the gifts lame? Please be honest.

Unfortunatly after I already got most of the stuff for the girls I figured out what the guys gifts could be and FH loved the idea. They are digital picture frames (7 in, off of Amazon.com for about $65 each) that have MP3 capabilities so they can play pictures and sound at the same time. He is making a memory card for each of his guys with different songs and sports broadcast plays along with pics of each of them togther. Very cool.

Can they wear the necklace all the time, or is it just a BM type thing? I have tons of necklaces from weddings I was in ... And I only wore them once. I hope that for $60 they were more versatile. If they are, then I think what you got is fine ... because that's the big thing, the rest are all exstra as far as I see.

honestly...that is so close to what I was thinking...except the PJs, I'm getting tank tops to wear when we get hair/makeup done. I think it's great. it's more fun to get more things IMO and it's a special gift for being the wedding..i think they should be wedding related.

I like the gifts you have! Similar to what I'm doing... They will get more use out of the assortment of gifts rather than one (expensive) necklace. And, I think it's very thoughtful all of the stuff you got for them...

Thanks girls, I was just getting worried b/c I think its good fun stuff but I wasn't sure if they would be like 'what is all this crap when we could have just had something nice' not that anyone in my party would ever say that and the stuff I got isn't cheap and it doesn't look cheap but you know, it's just in the back of my mind.

I think the necklaces are versatile. i would wear it to work, it's simple.

really, you do NOT need to stress bout stuff like this 4 weeks before your wedding... The tote bag is TOTALLY usable, as are the pjs etc. It is very thoughtful, cute and useful.... dont overthink this!

Your gifts sound great! Personally, I love your PJs idea. I would much prefer that to a necklace, particularly b/c I'm allergic to sterling silver. Not everyone likes silver and just b/c it's 'nice' doesn't mean they'll wear it all the time. The PJ's however....who doesn't like to be comfy? Also, totes are awesome. I use them for everything and can never have enough

I have the same feelings with my gifts but that is why i did do the assortment. Both girls have two VERY different taste. SO opted for the tote bag, two braceletes this way they can choose, custom made earrings for the day of and i purchased their shawl. I did around $70 per girl.

Honestly one of them hate what I had gotten them because she is well off and I am not. But one thing I know she will appreciate the thought I put into it and that is why I am not depressed about my decision.

you are a bride close to the big day...you're re-thinking everything! listen, a gift is supposed to come from your heart! there isn't a dollar amount (aside from trying to stay within a budget for a wedding) or anything else that should be associated. a good gift had thought put into it...and this CERTAINLY sounds like thought! honestly - i would appreciate a bag of goodies like this more. the necklace is a quick and easy answer. ooops - i don't mean that as a generalization toward ANYone who did a necklace. but i'm just trying to say...this shows a real effort and that you truly appreciate your gals and took real time to give them stuff they would like AND use!!!! stick with it...let go of your thoughts and move on to your HAPPY DAY:) :)
