bridesmaids. help!!!!!!

My wedding date is Nov 3 of this year and I already started asking my girls to go and order their dresses , some have but there is one friend of mine that is really making my life difficult at this time . I don't know if I should take her out of the wedding party? One day is I don't have the money I'll go in two Weeks, the other day would be I have something to do. What should I do? Should I get someone else to replace her?

Re: bridesmaids. help!!!!!!

Ummm, I would sit her down and explain that this needs to be done as soon as possible. Explain to her that you would understand if she can't afford the expense of being a bridesmaid and offer her the chance to back out. You have to go with your gut. She may be struggling with telling you that she is having a problem fulfilling her BM duties. Good luck

Re: bridesmaids. help!!!!!!

Give her a deadline. Ask her if she can seriously meet it, and how you can help her to meet it. See what kind of response you get. I've learned my non married friends really don't understand until you go through it. I know I didn't.

Re: bridesmaids. help!!!!!!

Very true above. Give her an opportunity to drop out, without actually asking it bluntly. It's so true that many BMs don't understand exactly what's needed and why it's needed in a timely manner. Give her a deadline. If she doesn't make it, she's not in.

Re: bridesmaids. help!!!!!!

I think you should replace her. Going to order her dress is not too much to ask. If she is this much of a problem now, what will she be like on the day of?
