My wedding is in July 2008. I've decided against have bridesmaids because I don't wanna bother with the drama. So its 3 kiddie couples, my MOH, the BM and of course bride and groom.
I'm still up in the air about the whole brides maids thing. Having them does make for nice pics... but I can do without the whole mess of over opinionated, unruly maids.

i say its your wedding and do what makes you happy...If you don't want them then don't do it

Your bm's should be the closest girls in your life and hopefully the closest girls in your life would not start drama for wedding. Just pick wisely.

If you know its going to make for drama...I say you dont need it on your day...you want nothing but happiness to come from your wedding

yeah I agree with Denise. if you think that the girls would be difficult then don't do it. It's not worth the stress.

i am only having my MOH and one BM 2 Jr BM 2 FG
you can avoid drama by only choosing people who will look out for you and that want you to be happy
my entire party is family. . . well technically my BM and Jr BM are friends - but my BM is my best friend since 5th grade and my Jr BM is her little sister that i have known since birth. . .
you can have 20 BM and not have drama if you really think about who you are picking - and dont start picking people out of obligation

ETA: if you dont want BM you definitely dont have to have them!

That is good advice Jess...but like Denise said...it's your day and if you'd rather not have any bm's it's your choice.
