bridesmaids picking their own dresses?

bridesmaids picking their own dresses?

did anyone have their bridesmaids pick their own dresses? i am thinking about having my girls get something black and tea-length and telling them to get whatever they want. does anyone have any pics of girls wearing all different dresses?

I didn't have them pick their own dresses per se. I selected about 8 dresses and then they could choose any of those that they liked best and looked more comfortable in.

However, I do know AkaMrsT did allow her BM's to selct their dresses, but in the end selcted them herself because they had trouble doing that. they were black dresses too.

i wanted them pick to their own dresses...they all agreed on about 5 different ones...but now no one is telling me what they like...they don't seem to want to go and check them out again...so i gave them 3 dresses to choose from and now they all agree on one...but now they have to go and try it on and see if they really do like it.

I was in a wedding where the bride let us pick our own she said bill levkoff euro black satin no beading or jewels and we all picked a different dress it was nice. Only bad part... In black we looked EXACTLY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE especially since we all had different black dresses on. Think of how many other girls are going to wear a black cocktail dress on
