Bridesmaids purses?

Bridesmaids purses?

I am confused. I saw another post about a bride who found awesome bridesmaids purses.

My question is do BMs need purses for the day of? I mean I can understand that they may wish to carry them. However, how do the purses fit in if they are carrying bouquets?

The purses are good for the reception...to carry make up, camera, (the unfortunate...tampons), etc.

Mine just left their stuff in the bridal suite with my bag. I had a huge bag of makeup, so as a bride I didn't carry a bag either. Even if they did have bags, I don't think they would have carried them, so they just would have been on the table the whole time.
