Hey girls! So I found the bridesmaid dress I love, but at bridal reflections it's around $210 plus they have a $110 alterations cap! That's an insane number- it's half the price of the dress!
I know a lot of people go to other salons to get it cheaper, however those salons I've seen have awful reviews. Has anyone found a store that has cheaper dresses, but also had a good experience there including the alterations process?

We had a similar issue - loveloveloved Bill Levkoff dresses but they were really expensive at most stores. RK Bridal here in Manhattan had them for $150-165 (my girls are in 3 different styles). I'd definitely suggest at least looking on their site, calling or going in if you can and finding out if they have what you need! It saved my girls a ton of money and helped me stay way calmer lol

what if they got alterations somewhere else on thier own? I get all my alteration done at My dry cleaners, my wedding dress I won't but why not bridesmaids?

I used Here Comes the Bridesmaid in the city and they were awesome. A dress that was $280 at other shops was $160 at Here Comes the Bridesmaid. They were super sweet and the dresses came in a MONTH early!

Did you have any problems with the alteration process or anything?? Some of the cheaper places I saw the girls weren't happy with their alterations and that the CS was awful.
I loved the Bill Levkoff dress I chose for my girls but wanted them to get the lowest possible price. Elena Bridal Couture in Merrick got us the dress for almost the lowest possible price ($5 higher than the best quote I got) and THE lowest alterations. And they're all SO nice in there.

Burton's Bridals in Melville! They had the best prices of anywhere.. my girls got bill levkoff dresses for like $140... Call the store and ask for carol and if you give the designer and the style # she will tell you what she will charge your girls to order them. Their alterations also cap at like $40 there

I know it sounds totally taboo but you could look into netbride.com. 1- they offer free quotes, 2- My family used them for my sisters wedding and everything was perfect 3- the website offers an explanation of why they can be so much cheaper (can fill orders all over the world, no rent to pay, etc.)
I suggest you just check it out. I have never read any bad reviews about them. For my sisters wedding we ordered 6 bridesmaids dresses and my moms dress. One of the girls was actually a best woman, so her dress was supposed to be black with a red belt. This was the one mistake made, when it arrived it was red with a black belt. My sister called and they had her send it back and corrected the mistake right away, no questions asked.

I ordered the Bridesmaid dresses through Burton Bridal. They gave me the cheapest price by far and the alterations cap at $60. Carol is really great to work with. She also ordered my mother's dress although they did not have it in the store for much less then other places.

I got my dresses at Lillette's. They were cheaper than Bridal Reflections and since I got my dress there, the girls percentage off their dresses. I'm going to be using our family seamstress for their alterations (she just happens to be the alterations woman at a salon in Manhasset, so I know she's trustworthy) and so much more affordable!

I was in a wedding party last year and we got our dresses at Angel Bridal in E. Islip. Very small place, but very nice and I think our dresses were around $150 for Bill Levkoff- about $70-80 cap on alterations. You have to be careful with ordering sizes too-they wanted me to order 1 size bigger than I normally am, and I refused to..I'm glad I did because I was right! I barely needed alterations

my sister and i both used net bride (i think its just netbride.com) they were AWESOME. We both used Bill Levkoff dresses and they were a lot cheaper than the stores. You can always find a place for cheaper alterations. Good luck!
