I'm thinking of putting my bridesmaids in different dresses with the same fabric and color...just different cuts. I just think that its insane sometimes to fit everyone in the same exact gown. Anyone else doing this?

Definitely not. My SIL did this and it was the best idea ever. We all have different body shapes and we each got a dress that flattered us. We were all comfortable and we all looked beautiful. I have pics on my computer at home. I'll try and post them later.
Everyone commented on how good we all looked and how they loved the idea. As a BM, it was great.

I think its a great idea. I agree with Amanda. All different girls have different shapes, so you should let them get what fits them best.

I like the look of the different dresses in all the same colors, this way all the girls will feel comfortable

i really like this idea.. my sister did this and it worked out great. all the girls have different shapes and we found dresses that flattered all of us. i plan on just picking the designed and color and let each of my bridesmaids pick a dress (with my approval of coarse )

09' crashing.....I just picked my BM dresses...I have 5 and I picked 3 dresses for them to choose from. THey are all going to be the same color and are from the same designer. Pics in my album if you want to see. I wanted them to be comfortable for the day.

i think we're going to go with separates, but i dont know if they'll choose the same. i was also thinking of doing them in the reverse colors, but again, we have to see once we all go dress shopping

i toyed with this idea and i cant make up my mind...i like when things are uniform but i have girls of all different shapes and sizes and want them to be comfy so thought of different dresses.

I also plan on offering a selection from which they can choose. Some may be more comfortable with straps, etc. I'll also suggest a wrap if it makes them feel more comfortable!
