BRIDEZILLA????????!!!

i'm so pissed!!! so, my aunt (who's a BM...only 8 years older than me)...just called to tell me that i've been ungrateful to my mother and i've been a bridezilla!!!

what!??!?! yes my parents are paying and i ALWAYS tell them how thankful i am!! because of that i am doing all these DIY projects to cut the costs. i havent asked anyone to do anything or have they asked for help!!! how am i a bridezilla because im enjoying making the invitations and other things to make this wedding more personal??

i keep saying that im so far from a bridezilla! i havent asked my BP to do anything yet. i keep saying the only thing im going to need them for is to put together the invitations and programs after i design and print them. and ill have food and wine for them. is that horrible of me??!!??

Your mother obviously said something to her for her to say something to you...maybe you have unknowingly shot down some suggestions? I am def not taking your aunt's side! I am just saying that some people perceive our happiness, excitement and 'I'm not settling for anything less' attitude as being a bridezilla when really it is just about making our day the most magical ever!



I am sorry that you have to deal with this! It happens to all of us during the planning process!

this started because of that backyard bbq idea for the rehearsal dinner. LOL my mom freaked out because she doesnt want stress the day before the wedding. notice...SHE doesnt want stress. and because of that she's saying that no one cares about her feelings and we dont help her. grrrrrrrrrr jewish guilt roaring it's ugly head again.

LMAO I am not jewish but my mom does the same exact thing! My mom had a mini freak out when my sister, her daughter and my friend from CHicago where going to stay at her house the night before the wedding...So I feel for ya.

Maybe you can get a cheap server for that day? One that puts out the apps and cleans up afterwards? I know my fam has some names and numbers of some and we are no Rockefellers so I know they cant be too expensive...Just an idea! FM me if you want and I can get the numbers from my fam for you...

You can totally hire someone to run the party for you! It;s not that pricey. Just ignore your aunt. Whatever. Send your mom some flowers with a huge apology for being so 'insensitive' to her stress level. Again -

My mom is the same way. they can be so mean and say such rude and biting things but in the end it's all ok.

Cuz those are the words my sister used cuz I like nice things...
oh ... cuz I have a few Tiffany things, and a couple of Coach purses.. Im High maintance?? Please.

Wow I know how you feel. I havent ask for no help but what you stated above and will have food and wine also. Don't sweat it, I think people just want to get under Brides skin during this time. Why I really don't know.
