Whats really scaring me is not being able to afford money for a down payment on a house. Everytime I think about how much this wedding will cost us when all is said and done I definitely think exactly what that bride in the article thought.

Dont feel bad. You can always buy a house later by saving the same way you did for the wedding. Your wedding is a once in a lifetime experience (should be at least) . Owning a house is overated anyway Plus you can always use the money you receive as gifts for a down payment.
