Bridgeview and lumara review **UPDATED w/ Pics**

Original post by Espo22

Ok sorry i cant also give a St. Rose of Lima review bc i never made it to the ceremony, I ended up losing my car keys and took me 40 mins to find them, it was horrible and i stil ran out to try and make it, i couldve made it if there wasnt a 4 car accident and the ssp wasnt backed up from exits 17 to 28, so i was real upset bc i wanted to make the ceremony...My hair appt was also in massapequa so i went straight there, guess ill give a review on Lumara too lol

Lumara did exactly what i asked them to do with my hair, i said the bigger looser curls and she actually did that WOW what a concept lol, everytime i ask for this they do smaller curls and do top from bottom but she did an amazing job, her name is erica in case anybody wants to go there...Lea did my make up and she did airbrush, loved what she did what my eyes, they came out so great, the only thing i had a problem with was that i had this scab on my cheek from ripping apart a pimple lol and after the airbrush she shouldve put additional things on the scar but she didnt, it was ok though bc i had a real good concealer and after i left i put that on the scar and it covered it up. Still they did such a great job

Ok now to bridgeview, i wish i can give a review on the ch food but i cant, yesterday didnt go as expected at all...From massapequa i didnt know where the highways were just the wantagh to take back to queens, i called FH to find out bc they were busy taking pics and when he finally called i was on some road and he gave me directions to take the sunrise, uhmmm yeah that was a disaster, and instead of turning on long beach rd i turned on long beach ave bc i had been driving for 30 mins having to look at every corner for the street sign and i made a mistake, he got me so annoyed when i called to say what i did, i was in a bad mood to begin with and he got me so mad that when i finally got to bridgeview i was so mad i didnt even go in...i did finally go in bc he kept calling me bc he was standing outside waiting for 30 mins...anyways the CH looked very nice, the set up was great, lots of room for people.

The room for the reception looked gorgeous, very elegant...the black and white draping on the ceilings with the chandeliers gave it a beautiful look...i also really liked the set up of the room bc everyone had a great view, i noticed with some RH's this isn't the case. The salad was delicious, i am not a person who is crazy about salad but i kept saying how good it was...the 2nd course was this seafood thing and WOW that was amazing, it was this lobster shrimp thing in dough, with mussels on the side, someone didnt eat seafood so fh took theirs bc of how much he liked it. Main entree, i had the chicken with mushroom sauce, snow peas and mashed potatoes-it was good, i liked the chicken...this one girl had spinach ravioli and i tasted one of them and it was very good. Everyone else at our table had the filet mignon, the girl next to me said hers came out excellent but thats bc she was smart and got medium rare like filet mignon is supposed to be, fh thought he ordered medium but i told him he said medium well and he said his was dry but you dont order filet mignon medium well so that was his own fault for getting drunk and forgetting what he said. The service was great and we had such an amazing time. The cake looked beautiful...also on our way out they had bottles of water for everybody and hot pretzels with cookies. All you girls getting married at bridgeview will have an amazing and beautiful wedding

ill post pics in a few of hair and make up and a few pics of bridgeview, sorry i took the worst pics wish i had better ones

i def want to check them out now.. because i travel in the VS to get my hair done. I love where i go and i will continue to go for my color because i dont trust anyone else, but if i ever need my hair done up i'll try there. your hair looked amazing!! and your makeup too!!!!

I wish you had my phone number, it can be tricky getting over to bridgeview. Sunrise highway to the wantagh to ocean parkway would have been the best way to go.

thank you

i wish i did lol, i was so frustrated from missing the ceremony, and the problem was that in LI the street signs are a little harder to see and driving for 30 mins looking at every single corner to see what street i was on is annoying so when i saw long beach avenue i just got excited like omg finally and then after i realized oh wait no it was long beach road. Eh sh*t happens sometimes i guess lol

You looked great!!!!! But why did you go to Mass to get your hair done and not in Queens or another place closer to the hall

bc i was going to the ceremony which is in massapequa, i never made it i got there late but the thing is that Fh was in the bridal party and after the ceremony he was going to take pictures and i wasnt going to follow them around for 3 hours plus no reason for me to be there so i had 3 hours to kill...getting my hair done right by the ceremony in massapequa was the best option bc alot of places dont want to take a late appointment and this way i was able to get to a place before 4:30 since it was right by the church...i was gonna go to a place closer to the reception but with traffic who knows how long it would take on a friday, and thank god bc traffic was HORRIBLE yesterday and nobody would take me that late for hair and make up

my problem was listening to everyone else ...why i was told to take it locally i dont know bc there was so much traffic and theres so many lights...when i saw the meadowbrook i should've jumped on that, and also when you get off at point outlook its closer to bridgeview than the way i was told to go, the way they told me it was such a long drive even after i got to long beach road...i used to ALWAYS go to bridgeview and when i saw where i was i kept thinking W** this is the worst way next time im not listening to anybody

I also did get to byc at a decent time but i was so mad i didnt go in, and FH failed to realize that i was by myself out in LI so i got dressed quickly at the salon but i still had things to do, for one i had forgotten my bra straps in the car when i got dressed so i had to put them on in the car, put my jewelry on, he also called me on my way and said he didnt get a card so i had to stop and buy one...it was just a mess

seriously this happens all the time, people tell me oh this is the best way and NOOOOOOOOO its not...After i get directions to a place, whenever i go again i end up always take my own way bc people dont realize the POPULAR way to go is the most congested way to go bc EVERYONE does that...and i think i wouldve made the ceremony if i went my way too which also annoys me bc i really wanted to make it for that...but by the time the reception started i was over it and had a great time.

EXACTLY!!!! that was my whole point and what fh didnt realize i took a way i didnt know and not like it was a highway where i just look at the signs but a way where every block i had to look at the street signs, it gets annoying after a while lol...and he didnt realize i was by myself in an area i dont know for hours, i had to get ready in a salon bathroom and a car, so yeah when i got to byc i didnt valet the car right away, i parked a block before and had to fix my bra, had to put on jewelry, put on my shoes, and fix myself a bit, also i had to put everything in my evening bag from my purse...he was just annoyed that i wasnt there yet and kept calling me which delayed me more and he didnt understand why i made a wrong turn when he gave me perfect directions, i said i messed up STFU really not in the mood to hear how i messed up at that point, so yeah im gonna flip out

you guys are SUCH a hot couple. No joke. You both look amazing.

that ***** that you had to deal with that. I had a hard time getting to Bridgeview when we went to check it out also but luckily FH knows his way - he was like, i thought you used to go clubbing here all the time but i can't imagine taking the local roads from massapequa i'd have no clue.

very funny that you went to lumara, i had them bookmarked b/c they are in massapequa and that's where my hall is. not sure if i'm using them yet though.

thanks for the review!
