Bridgewaters in NYC

Anyone been to or having their wedding at Bridgewaters? Am hearing good reviews and supposedly it's very reasonable.

my best friend went to a wedding there...I saw pics and it looks beautiful...

Also, have you checked out the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers? My friend is planning her wedding there right now....it's beautiful!!

Re: Bridgewaters in NYC

i visited bridgewaters. it is very beautiful, but very nautical. navy blues, mahogany wood everywhere, so it's a bit dark. they have a $20,000 minimum for a sat night and they have 3 separate spaces where you can get married. the largest space - which i didn't get to see because there was a wedding in progress - is enormous. i think you have to have like a 300 person minimum or something. but it's the large room that has the spectacular view of the brooklyn bridge.
the other room has a view of the water and a boat which you can pay to shoot off fireworks.

heidi there is fabulous. you should visit just to feel good about the venue searching process. also check out twenty-four fifth which is owned by the same company. its a beautiful elegant venue and amy there is FANTASTIC. seriously. when you meet with great people, it makes you get excited about getting married.

good luck! feel free to contact me if you have any questions. i looked at about 8 venues in the city before booking mine. =)
