Broadway show goers???

me and my friend are dying to see Legally blonde.. but i heard thers a ticket place somewhere in the city that you go there the day of and get tickets like 50% off.. is this true??

i dont go often enough to know where or what this place is..any ideas?

its called tkts, its on the corner of 47th street and 47th avenue...you do have to wait in line though just so you know...each day they have a bunch of different shows available...sometimes the line can take an hour other times more, it depends....and yes you can only get tickets for the day of the show

they resell whatever tickets are left over that day. i dont know how popular legally blonde is and if it typically sells out. you could also try for 'rush tickets' for different shows -- legally blonde might have some. they let you get $20 tickets for the first 2 rows. RENT does it with a lottery system.

You could also google for coupon codes that let you go to the box office and get discounted seats (like $25-30 off) without having to wait in line for hours. there are lots of options if you dont want to pay full price!

the prices are pretty good...and usually they have a bunch of shows available that day...they dont get a few though, usually disney shows which they do get sometimes but its hit or miss with those. ALso lion king and the producers.

There are certain shows that TKTS will get just about everyday, trust me i know this bc my ex used to work there and i spent so much time there lol, i worked close by at the time and i would get out earlier and would always be there. Not sure if legally blonde is one of the shows they always get.

Just so you know nothing is guaranteed with that tkts it's first come first served the day of the performance.

yeah they have a certain amount for each show and once they sell out then yeah people who might still be waiting in line won't be able to get tickets for that show...thats why people will get there early about 1-2 hours before they start selling the tickets. They do get a decent amount though and honestly even up until 8pm which is right when they close alot of the popular shows they always sell they will have...alot of times they even have extras to give away as comps...we used to always get comps bc they get a decent amount of certain shows...if you get there after they already started selling them and the line is REAL long then yeah you might not have luck getting them.
