When you purchase show tickets, where do you usually buy from - the box office, ticketmaster, etc? What do you normally pay for 2 tickets? Also, do you always go for the best available seats or do you go for less expensive seats?

Re: Broadway tickets questions....
In the past, I've used ticketmaster and if I remember correctly (it's been a while since I bought tickets) they do charge a 'service charge' on top of the price of the tickets. I like to splurge when I go to a Broadway show and usually buy the best seats that are available. About two years ago, I took FH to see Phantom of the Opera for his birthday and we sat in the second row...it was about $200 for two tickets. Hope this helps!

We also tend to go for the best available seats. We don't go often and we really enjoy it, so it's worth it for us to splurge.
Since we live in Queens and are in the city often, we sometimes go right to the theater and get tix for another date. But otherwise we use Ticketmaster.
Sometimes we get things in the mail with promotions- we got $65 tickets to Little Women this way, and they were great seats. I think we signed up at broadway.com or playbill.com. They also might have online offers.
