Re: broken hand
it depends on the brake, where and how severe.... and on the person.
depending on the break, you can ask for an aircast...

Re: broken hand
Thanks ladies. Im soo annoyed no one in the ER said anything. This was at like 430am. I should have went in the room with him and asked...He doesnt even know how bad it is, how many bones...im hoping the dr we go to today gives us more information. He has a cast that goes all the way up to his elbow right now.

Re: broken hand
i broke my wrist about 8 years ago.. i had the cast on all summer for about 4-6 weeks. BUT i got a water proof cast so i could go in the pool and take showers with out that stupid plastic bag and it didn't itch really at all... tell FH to ask about it, its worth it even if you have to spend a little extra so you two can enjoy your Honeymoon.

Re: broken hand
He might be OK for the wedding. I don't know about hands, but most arm and arm related broken bones heal around 4-6 weeks. You have what... Just about 5 weeks to the wedding? But I would def. ask the doctors when you go. sometimes they have tricks to speed up the healing process.

Re: broken hand
Oh yeah btw...
when i broke my arm i was in elementary school and it was summer. so they gave me a hot pink waterproof cast it was awesome. by the time your wedding comes, even if he still needs it, it wont be up to the elbow theyll cut it down to probably around the wrist and they can make it waterproof and different colors... so you can have his cast match your wedding colors lol

Re: broken hand
thats stinks!!!!!! depends on how bad it is. My brother fractured both his wrists the begining of last summer at the same time, and he was casted up for a while, and then he moved on to the removable casts, and wraps... he was in them all winter, until February maybe? but he can def get a water proof cast, so no worries there!!!!

Re: broken hand
I was in an arm cast up to 2 months before my wedding and at my shower. No fun and hate to say it, but much better its him than you.
Can he get a black cast? I had one and it looked much better with my outfits and will match a tux/suit!
I'm sorry he needs to deal with this but it will be okay---I'm sure he will be tough (I tried to be).
