it could be either...but be careful with a dry cough...I have bronchial asthma and my dr told me that I could get emphazema without ever smoking a cigarette - just from weezing...

Re: Bronchitis.....

I had a bad case of bronchitis last year (for 2 months) and I remember vividly coughing up stuff!! Each case is different, however.

I would def see a pulmonologist. My primary care doctor used to diagnose me w/ bronchitis, since I got it every year for like 3 years. However, it turned out to be asthma.

dry unproductive cough.... it is my job as a drug rep for bronchitis to know this. Take Biazin XL or Zithromax for it- prescription. You will feel better within hours.

Re: Bronchitis.....

I have bronchitis and my cough is a congested, hacking cough (saw dr Monday night). I am on Day 3 on Zithromax but not seeing much change yet. I feel fine (little tired) just a cough which is much worse at night and early morning. My doctor has also given me a prescription to break up and bring up the congestion. My asthma is also acting up - so I am wheezing a little...need to use my inhaler.

Go to a Dr. I have asthma and get Bronchitisis all the time. It starts as a dry cough, until I am able to break up the conjesiton and then it is wet ( sorry that ios gross)

Also - if you see no results from Zithromax go get a new perscription. I took Zithromax, and it did nothing, I had to go on another set of antibiotics. My Dr. said that ZIthromax is beeter for sunis infections not Bronchitis.

funny shelzp - I told my dr that I had taken Zithromax before for a sinus infection and he told me that it usally isn't prescribed for that...every dr. is different I guess!
