I am just starting my weddings planning and was wondering if some people can help me with vendors in brooklyn...Photo, Dj, limo or anything else that maybe useful information...

Hey Congratulations on your planning! FH and I are using Classie Sounds for our DJ. They are wonderful. I would highly recommend them. HTH

I definetly would NOT recommend Classie Sounds....A friend of mine used them and they were horrible! I also went to a wedding last night at Russo's and the speakers sounded horrible. The MC wasn't bad, but the one thing that drove me crazy were the speaksers! IF u decide to go with them, I would recommend making sure they get new speakers lol because the ones that they had last night sounded like they were about to blow! Check out Ultimate Sounds DJ's.....a lot of girls talk about FM, but I dont know too much about them.

Brooklyn Native, but moved to Staten Island with FH. DOC will be in BK, and reception will be in LI. FM for info on BK vendors that I am using.

You can check out Double Diamond or Romantique for limos.
Any vendor will travel!!

Since I live in Brooklyn as well, I can definitely help you with my vendors!
Classie Sounds is amazing. I loved every wedding that I went to with them there! All of my guests are so psyched about having them do my wedding. Steve's been there for a while and he is just amazing!
Also check out Five Star DJ entertainment. They did my engagement party and everyone had a blast. The main DJ there is amazing and is very good friends with my FH. He is the house DJ at my FH place.
For limo's I am using Romantique on 86th Street. They always are highly recommended and have great limos and party buses.
For flowers, I am using someone in the city called Langden. But in Bklyn, I would recommend 13th ave florist Dyker florist Flowers by Emil - which did my sisters wedding this past april
For photography & Video I am using Riccardo's. They have a place in Howard Beach and just opened up a new place with Classie Sounds in Staten Island. They did my sister's wedding as well and I could not believe how amazing they were. I am so psyched to be having them at my wedding.
If any Brooklyn Bride needs a place for an engagement party, shower or rehersal dinner, check out my FH restuarant. I already saw some girls on this web site that had some party's there.

Hey, Im a brooklynite as well...
We are using a photog in long island though...12th night...we absolutely thought that no one compared to what we wanted...
If you are looking for a traditional kind of photog, try fantasia (its on 86th by outback) Just do not do jaymar (I believe that thats their name...Ive seen two weddings and both couples were unappy witht hem)
As for the DJ... we are lost on that right now. We have been to a few and just are not happy with what they have to offer...
Limos, try on 86th next to The funeral home (I believe its called Romantique (Ive heard mixed reviews about them. but...its a limo...)
We are trying Valentina bridal on Friday for my bridesmaid dresses....I tried Maid to Order and called them three times, tey have yet to get back to me to tell me if they carry my dress...
Florists, again there is a great one on 86th by st frances cabrini....iam unsure of their name but its between vincent capadano and bay 11th... their right ont he corner, and we've had occasions by them before and wre very satisfied...

08er crashing , I am also using Classie Sounds they are highly recommended a little pricey but from what i've heard well woth it use Steve or Keith as the MC.
Photagraphy Elite in Bay ridge also highly recommend as well as Avanti Video in Staten Island.
Using AMEX for limos in Brooklyn right off avenue U.
Henry's Florist 'amazing' in Bay Ridge.
Kellys Kreations on 18th avenue for dresses.
Bridal Styles for head piece, this is an amazing store all they have is headpieces n veils huge selection great prices.
And Nicotras Ballroom at The Hilton Garden Inn for reception.
All my venders are highly recommended and that was the only way I would book someone, thats just my opinion.

Hey small world, i know your FH Sal, i grew up with him we all used to hang out years ago, I'm still friends with alot of his friends but i haven't seen Sal in a while. Thats great to hear you guys are getting married Best of luck to the both of you!
