Brooklyn Brides

Hi Brides,

I really don't know where to start when it comes to vendors. Like everyone, i want the best of everything however i am not quite sure where I can find the best. Please list your vendors, preferable in Brooklyn because I want to keep it local.

TIA!

i have to disagree about the comment on Dyker Heights Florist...he does not over charge.

On the contrary, FH and I are on a budget and i went to george, and told him what i could spend at what i wanted, he made me 2 samples before i even left a deposit, and he is keep ing me in BUDGET!

Def go and check him out, totally worth at least a consultation....

I am from Brooklyn, my older son had his reception at the Riviera Brooklyn and the younger one at Russo's on the Bay. I will list below all the vendors they both used.

DJ - Classie Sounds (house dj for both Russo's and Riviera) they were fabulous. One had Steve and the other had Nick. They are Ave. O right off of Bay Pkway not sure of the cross streets.

Flowers - both used June Florist on 18 Ave right off of 86th Street. See Jimmy.

Limos - Romantique on 86 St. 15 Ave.

Photos - Verdi and Memories of Me. Both are very good photogs.

MOG & MOB dresses (Bridal & Bridesmaids too) - Doris Fashions 18 Ave & 68th Street. Also Valentina bridals on New Utrecht Avenue & 76 Street

Good Luck

Your dress is beautiful!! My older DIL and all the bridesmaids got their dresses in Valentina''s and were very happy with them.

Re: Brooklyn Brides

Thank you! When I went dress shopping I was having such a bad day. We had been to three places and had TERRIBLE experiences in all three stores. One place was so rude, the other didn't have anything and the third was just too crowded. Lotus was closed, and one of my aunts said 'Let's try this place in the 70s.' I was SO ready to just call it a day, but I said, 'Alright'. When I walked into Valentina's, the staff immediately changed my mood. They were nice, friendly and excited. They helped me pick dresses, but once I saw my dress I knew it was the one. I said, 'Stop. I don't even need to look at anymore. That's it.' I tried on two other dresses, but I was right.

ITA. He gave me the lowest rate out of all the florists I spoke with and created beautiful samples on the spot for me. I didn't have to compromise the look I wanted even though I was on a budget. Highly recommend George and you should def go for a consultation.
