Don't know the venue yet but definitely on LI
I hear the Riviera in Coney Island and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are beautiful though and they both have outdoor photo opportunities
Gargiulos and El Caribe are beautiful too but not much outdoors - not sure if you're looking for that
What places are you considering?

El Caribe is fab. I went there had a food tasting and all of that and the food was amazing. For a saturday night in july 2011 with all the upgrades I wanted I was looking at close to 250 pp. They werent throwing in too many extras. The base price I got was 160pp that didn't include a vienesse hour or menu upgades.

We're thinking about having our reception at Giando's. I live in Los Angeles right now but have an appointment there next month when we are back in Brooklyn.

Just went to a wedding last night @ Giando's on the water and 2 people went to the hospital. One girl tripped down the stairs and busted her nose an another girl fell on the ceramic tile dance floor and cut her eye open......BE CAREFUL at that place.

Oh my! I just did a search for Giando's as I'm going there on Friday. Wow, I will definitly have to tell this to FH. As I recall, the stairs were pretty dark and old and the bridal suite is at the very top. Heels and alcohol wouldn't make a good combo!
