I heard bad things about them, especially with the bridesmaids dresses.

My friend looked at some dresses there. They were nice, but don't really know too much about them.

Also try Monica's Bridal in sheaphead bay. My MOH got her dress there and so did my mom.

I tried on a dress there but I don't like the ambiance. I just feel like they will mess up. They have been in business for 35 years though, am I being silly?

i was in a wedding a few years ago and we got the bm dresses there.
Well.... we pciked them up 3 days before the wedding and the dress was wrinkled which they said they would press and it had oil stains all over it . the bride cried and was telling them that the wedding was in 3 days and we needed them to be cleaned and pressed. so they said fine pick them back up at 8:30 pm the night before .. we go there and the dress was the same as it was when we 1st saw them so the bride flipped out . they would not give us even half our money back nothing did not even try to compromise with us .. to make a long story short . we wore the dresses the way they were because everything (cleaners) were already closed at that time and the day beofre we would not have enough time to have it done because we had to be at her house at 11:00(her church was early)

besides the fact the place just looks really dirty -

thats JMO

I went there and they just didn't seem like they knew what I was talking about, they told me on the phone to bring pics..I did, and they had none, when meanwhile the woman on the phone told me they carried the designers I was asking about....so I don't know...JMO

My MIL lives in Brooklyn, ( Mill Basin) we went there and I was NOT IMPRESSED with there samples or dresses. We walked right out. She said she rather come out to where we live in LI to look for a dress.

I do not like it there so we went to look at Valentina's (also in Brooklyn) and loved them.

We got my bridesmaid dresses there and had a LOT of problems. They made my BMs get their shoes before their first fitting, then didn't even do the hem, and this involved one who was in from VA and was told to come back for the hem! I had a hard time getting material swatches, and my girls dresses needed to be altered multiple times b/c they were done so poorly. They gave me so much unneeded aggravation!

Well I guess my assumptions were right, lol. I thought it was dirty looking too, lol. I just wnated to make sure. I did go to Valentina Bridal and I loved them, they were great. Daniella was the best!! Anyone go to Ninette's? Daniella from Valentina referred them....

Re: Brooklyn Brides.....Lestans/Ninette's???

I was in a wedding three years ago and we bought our dresses from them. They are cocky and overpriced. They had me order an unnecessarily large dress only to do major alterations. We also had to do some pressing on our dresses and we waited an awfully long time to get the dress. While we were waiting for our dresses, another bride to be was in tears. They didn't make good on whatever promise they told her and they didn't want to budge on any of her requests. They basically told her, this is what we will do, take it or leave it. I wouldn't even buy toilet tissue from them. I guess they feel they've been in business so long that their crap doesn't stick. Well from the looks for theses reviews I guess they need to unclog something

Well, now the cap their prices with the alterations in them which is not bad but the service is horrible and the samples in the store (bridesmaid) look horrible also

hope this helps
