Re: Brooklynites!!!
what are you scouting them for?
baku - never went to. last time i was over there they had a wedding going on. it looked nice. cocktail hour was in courtyard outside. the greek (i think) restaurant next door is good tho.
not sure what you are looking for but maybe check out XO Creperie. Its right by loehmans. they are a bit pricey, but its soo cool looking inside. and the service is good. i always see big tables/parties with lots of liquor and food. looks like fun! ive only been there for crepes, tea (BIG selection) and hooka
rasputin - ive been there many years ago, before it had that name. it was a lot of fun!! i went for a party. so it was like family style food. they had a band and it was a good time!
i think both of these are mostly eastern european food since they are russian

Re: Brooklynites!!!
Have you thought about Bay Ridge? There are so many good restaurants there such as
New Corners (Italian) 72nd St & 8th Ave. Cebu Chadwicks Arirang Mambo Italiana The Pearl Room Casa Pepe Chianti Greenhouse Cafe Hunter's Steak house Skinflints (great burgers)
That is just a short list of restaurants that I know are very good. Colanldrea's New Corner Restaurant is one of our favorites.

I'll second New Corners. They are DELICIOUS--my family always has events there. Also, what about Fiorentinos? They are also really good, and may be able to accommodate you.
GL! I'm dreading finding somewhere in Brooklyn big enough to hold my shower!

When did Mamo close?
Yes, New Corners is great...we have the majority of our family birthdays/events there and they are reasonable. I had my older son's rehearsal dinner there and they did a great job. We were about 38 people and everyone loved their dinner. New Corner's is our go to restaurant when we want to go out but not sure where we want to go. We never had a bad meal there. Good luck.

Re: Brooklynites!!!
Let me add the Schnitzel Haus to the list. It is a German restaurant on 74th Street and 5th Avenue and they have an upstairs large room with a terrace that you can have a party in. We had my younger son, Peter's rehearsal dinner there. They are extremely reasonable and the food was good, rich but very good and different. We were about 70 ppl give or take and there was plenty of room and with the outside area if the weather is nice people can go out and smoke, relax etc.
Just a thought.

Re: Brooklynites!!!
Have you looked into Gargulio's in Coney Island, I have been to a couple of showers there and both the food & the service were great. There is also J &R's Restaraunt (at least I think that is the name of it) next door to Pippins. I have been to both bridal & baby showers there and have liked it.

How about Il Fornetto, Pearl Room or Gino's ? I don't know where my shower is, although i have an idea it may be at Roma View...
