*Brother asked to be a GM in another wedding the same day

Ok so from being on here, I saw how many people were getting married on June 7, 2008 (06*07*08). There is a guy in my office (the only other person engaged there) & he's getting married on 06*07*08...

Well I was w/ my mom all day & found out my cousin's roomate (this cousin is an usher in our wedding) is getting married 06*07*08, and invited my brother & cousin to be GM in his wedding.

They both declined, b/c they're in our wedding but my brother did make the following comment,' the first of my friends gets married, I'm asked to be in it & I can't be there, b/c I'm already in a weddding, I must be popular'

He has a good atitude about it, but I feel bad, b/c he's missing out on his friends wedding.

* we're having a wedding weekend too, so it's not even like he can be @ both ceremonies, we'll be doing pictures when they're exchanging vows 45 min away.

Should I try to move the time of pictures & risk, my brother getting back late to take my pics so he can be in his friends wedding too? Or should I just leave it as is, he's accepted not being able to be in his friends wedding, why add extra stress to my day? (the latter is obvil, the selfish bridezilla or realistic? your thoughts, my fellow s.... what would you do?

i understand he wants to be there for his friend but YOU ARE HIS SISTER. I think he would want to be there more for you than his friend (even if he doesnt show it lol) I dont think you should go more all your stuff around to accomadte it.

I say leave it as is... and I don't think that makes you a bridezilla at all! The situation does stink, but they are your family too... it's not your fault that this happened!

Well I think the fact that you are considering it makes you a very good sister! I think if he is ok with missing out on a friends wedding, then leave it as is!

i agree. i think that you are feeling bad about the situation and might be a little sensitive cause he made that comment.....trust me...we take things more literal than they need to be. your brother is probably a little disappointed he can't be at his friend's wedding...but i'm sure it's no where near to where you think it is! guys just don't really care about that stuff as much as we do. for you to consider moving around the times and such, is sweet, but totally unnecessary. it will be fine!

I don't think you should move your plans at all.

Don't feel bad... You didn't do anything wrong.

i personally think that it is more imporatant for him to be at your wedding. you are his sister. I dont think you should have to change anything around. It is unfortunate that his friend is getting married the same day, but family comes first

your right & that's his ov, but I feel bad that he's missing out, I missed the wedding of the 1st of my friends, b/c that was the same day as my grandfather's funeral , we've had our place booked since November, they just got engaged on Valentines day, they knew our date so I'm gonna leave it

I completely agree! You are his sister and always will be. Friends can come and go! Family is forever! What you were thinking of doing is so nice, but seems like hes fine with it!
