Brown dresses and black tuxes?

Hi Ladies,

I need some help, i have finally decided on colors for our wedding, I am going to put the girls in brown, a color i have always lvoed and i am going to accent with pink. It is an April evening weding, my gown will be formal and FH wants to wear a tux, is it ok for him to wear a black tux if the girls are in brown?

I think its fine. They are both neutrals, it's the pink that will pop.

I wore a brown BM dress and it was accented with a taupe. The groom and ushers wore black tuxes and it looked nice together. It's one of those times when the whole ' black doesn't go with brown' just doesn't apply.

Men's warehouse rents brown tuxes that are really nice looking.

I don't think the black and brown will look great. It might be ok but you want it to look great.

I went through this because I really wanted the guys in these brown tuxes but my dresses are dark purple and I had some art major friends of mine tell me it's not a great combo. The more I look, I agree so I'm going with a lighter tan.

With brown dresses you can do either this brown tux or a nice tan and it will look amazing!

I think they will look great together! Both of those colors tend to mesh well with just about anything separately, so they should be just fine together.

I originally wanted my colors to be brown for the girls and black for the boys, but FH really wanted to wear gray so now we're doing gray and eggplant. But that was still my first choice and I think brown dresses look great with black suits, especially if the guys wear champagne colored accents to pick up the brown in the dresses.

I know someone suggested brown suits, but I personally would not do brown dresses with brown suits. I think brown suits look too 1970's, but that's just my opinion!

I guess it depends. If the brown is more of a chocolate, it can look ok. If the brown is closer to black.. I don't think it's that great. I do not like that pic of the guy with the black tux and brown vest/tie... I think it clashes a little because of the white shirt. Maybe if the shirt was black I would like it better.

i had my mohs in expresso which is a darker brown and the gms wore brown vest while the bm & dh wore blue and the guys in black tuxes
