Brunch invites?

Brunch invites?

For those of you having a day after wedding brunch get together - are you sending out invites? I was going to just put alittle note in the OOT bag, but now I think people need advance notice. Should I tell them ahead of time, and then put a note in OOT bag, or send out invites? We are talking about 40-50 people. TIA!

Hmmm. That's a good question. Are you having the brunch at a place where you'll need to give a head count? Are you worried that no one will come, too many will come or that its 'proper' to send advanced notice? If you are having it where you kinda need to know who/how many are coming, then you might consider a little note, otherwise, you can always do word of mouth AND notes in the oot bags. Also, if you have a wedding website, you could add a mention of that as well. Anyway you look at it, I dont' think there's an exact science to the 'day after' like there is for THE DAY!

Hey lady! Good to hear fropm you! Great questions - and thanks for the input. It's at the house my parents are renting - but way out in Orient Point, so I feel like for the people who are traveling they would need some notice to time their departure from the east end. We are having some deli food delivered, so an approximate head count would be good...
I don't want to mention it on the website for fear that everyone would turn up!

I just don't know if sending a brunch invite prior to the wedding is weird/compulsive. you know?

You make me laugh. Anyway, if it'll let you, your mom, or whoever in your family might be labeled as 'compulsive' sleep better at night, knowing you've informed the RIGHT people of the plans...I'd say, go to the local stationery store and print up a little note mentioning it, and send it out closer to the wedding with a regrets only kind of deal. That's probably what I'd do.

Now that I re-read this post and see that the above is all one GIANT sentence I realize its time to rest the ole noggin! Have a great weekend!

I did get formal invites- but I will only mail them to a few people- the others I will just put in the OOT bags instead of mailing.
