Brunch on the Day Of?

Original post by teacherteacher

I'm so sorry I have so many questions! We're 31 days away and every day keeps bringing up new things to worry about

Okay, on the day of (for evening ceremony brides, I guess) did you bring in food or brunch for your bridesmaids and anyone getting ready with you?

I just figured out with my makeup artist that we'll probably need to start getting ready at 10am, and I want to make sure my bridesmaids, mom, MOG and flower girls are all fed and happy. Did anyone do anything like this or have suggestions?

My first idea was bagels and a whole fruit spread but there are two gluten-free friends and family members involved.

I'm going to have a set-up at my house because there are going to be a lot of people there. My mom wants to do bagels and mimosas with fruit and cookies. I know that some bagel places sell gluten-free items.

I'm going to have my mom, FMIL, FHs Aunt, my aunt, MOH and 7 BM at my house for hair/make-up. With that many women, mimosas will be necessary. My ceremony doesn't start until 3 so I know that they will get hungry!

Make life easier for yourself, get bagels and cut up some fruit. I have the Keurig coffee maker but everyone seemed to show up with coffee already. We had mimosas, oj, fruit punch and all the regular drinks in the fridge. It seemed that everyone ate 1/2 a bagel when they got there and the other 1/2 when they were ready to leave.

i'm also doing a mimosa bar :) My bridal suite comes with a Keurig so i'm going to get a big variety box of k-cups.. also bagels/cream cheese/donuts/etc.

I would suggest bagels and maybe a cold cut platter since it will be a long wait til cocktail they will need something substantial to hold them over.

To help out your gluten free people, its a little bit of work but you can make an egg casserole in my crock pot. I usually just put a carton of egg whites, a bag of frozen hash browns, a bag of frozen peppers and onions, and a bag of shredded cheddar cheese in the crock pot overnight on low and its ready to go in the morning. I usually let the frozen stuff defrost in the fridge for a few hours before I make it.
