Tomorrow I'm meeting up with an old friend of mine in the city. We haven't seen each other in maybe 4 years. We figured we would meet for brunch/lunch and catch up.
What are some good places for Brunch/Lunch in the city?
I like Eatery but wanted to check out other options.

What area are you interested in? I really love this place called The Smith on 3rd Ave between 10th and 11th. They have the best brunch.

Probably quiet /low key since we're going to be catching up.

I've been to The Smith...didn't even think about it..the food is awesome there..thanks for reminding me.
I'll go anywhere in the city....not worried about being in any particular area.

I love Paprika in East Village (italian but obv mixed for brunch)
Matador in west village is nice, early no one is there but good food and sangria/mimosas . . it's spanish but has a huge range
Mexican - la palapa is great - they have two locations (east and west village) west seems empty east is crowded . good margaritas
Chat and chew - Union square
Alice's Tea Cup - they have a few locations,
West Village - cornelia street cafe (tho it can get crowded)

Or if you happen to want to make a day of it and go to the Cloisters in upper manhattan. there is a nice cafe there. .New Leaf . but only if you wanted to go visit the Clositers - otherwise it's a HAUL
