Did you or are you planning on buying a nightgown for the hospital? Or did you just wear the hospital clothes?

i wore the hospital gown with my DISGUSTING favorite zip up sweater over it. I would never have worn anything I brought - its' really all too messy.

I wore the hospital gown for the first 2 days and then the last 2 I wore nightgowns I had brought. I was in for 4 days because of the c-section. Both my nightgowns were fine. No blood at all

I planned on wearing the hospital gown until after she is born. I did get a pair of nursing Pj's to bring with me. We'll see how that pans out. Definetly bringing a cardigan and robe too. I think that is really all I am going to be comfy in.

I am going to purchase something today (inexpensive) today at Walmart for my bag. I will take it with me and judge at the hospital if it is worth me wearing.

Re: BTDT moms or expectant moms:
Im bringing sweatpants and tshirts (Aside from pjs). so I can change when I want to and not be in my hospital nightgown... I was one to walk the floors alot so I felt more comfy being somewhat dressed.

I wore the hospital gown the first day but then I switched to my own pjs. I'm much more comfy in pants/shirt pjs than a gown.

I would also take pants and tops anyday over a nightgown.

I wore hospital gowns. I didnt want to mess up any of my clothes... the pads they give you in the hospital dont have any stickys on them. Never know where they are gonna go

I wore the hospital gown until they made me get up and take a shower after the c-sec. Then I put on nursing pjs which I found much easier than a nightgown for breastfeeding and more comfy for when visitors came!! No mess at all here...

I was also told this prior to having Luke, everyone told me to bring my own pads. I gave birth at Winthrop and they had pads with sticky tape in them.
I thought the first day was the messiest. I had an episiotomy and they had these pads that you break the seal and they are chilled. OMG, I kept sending my DH to the nurses desk for more, I was hording them. I think I used about 50 of them! Before having a child, I didn't know, would you actually be comfy in pants or did you need more room. But it was fine.

Oh My chilled pads!! I will probably wear the hospital gown and bring my own pj's just in case.
