btrflygrl-Georgia ???

How do you like living there? How much do the houses go for there? Is there any websites that show the houses and how much? TIA

My sister lives in Georgia, south of Atlanta (I think that btrflygrl is North?). One of the major developers down there is Ravin - here's their website. To have a house built for you on about an acre of land, they run from $160-400K.

My FBIL lives north of Atlanta - a town called Suwanee. They love it. They have a gorgeous brand new house and it was cheap! They're always trying to talk us into moving there. It's very tempting.

Not sure how set on Georgia you are but Del Webb builds a number of communities across the states as well. Some are active adult, the rest are family communities. My cousin lives in one in Anthem AZ and loves it.

I wish I could convince FH to move. I have his dad working on him too. Hopefully he'll cut the apron strings eventually

Hey Hey.....just found this post. We are north of Atlanta in Gwinnett County, a town called Suwanee. Let me just say I LOVE IT DOWN HERE....it's like almost 80 degrees right now (HAHA). The people are nice and friendly, the pace of life is slower, and the cost of living is a lot less (gas is $1.87 for regular which is SO HIGH right now!) There is SO much to do....we are in a very nice area that is blowin up big time. The school districts are AMAZING.

we are living in a 2 bdrm/2 bath apt in a complex for $875 a month.

Our Apt. complex

Houses, depending on what area....you can find houses starting in the $140's and going up above the half million dollar range. Taxes are less than $2,000 a YEAR. I have a great Real Estate Agent that we were working with before everything fell apart and I can pass on her info to you, website where you can search the local listings.

I can also save the home sections from the sunday paper and mail them up to you if you give me your mailing address
