BTW, Social Security and the DMV suck and smell. They are such armpits. It was about an hour in each, and literally its all about WAITING.
A few of things:
You will have your pic retaken at the DMV when you change your name.
Have all your paperwork done before you go. Go to their websites and print them out. That was the best advice I got and thank god I actually listened...
DMV is the only one who charges 12.50 for your name change. Social Security is free.
Next stop... passports.
