BUBBLES

What do you think about the idea of a bubble machine outside of the church after the ceremony?? We cant throw rose petels or rice and I dont want bird seed...so we figured bubbles. Now we are thinking maybe a bubble machine though just to get the bubbles in some pics by the photographer.....I am sure that most people will not even blow them so we thought to get that look to do a machine......
Any opinions??

i love the bubbles too.... really cute but i had a friend who's dress got stained by the bubbles (left like clear noticeable O marks on her wedding gown and her BM's dresses)... when they popped or landed on her dress it left the mark...

she was able to get them out when she took it to a dry cleaner but she had to go the rest of her wedding day with them on her dress (girls too).

HTH: maybe you can still do it and just keep it in mind to try and be careful they don't come in 'direct contact' with you or something?

good luck

Re: BUBBLES

also if you plan on buying bubbles from a site 9 little bottles) make sure they have twist tops. I have over 60 bottles that you have to basically be a strong man to open and now have to go and get the ones with the twist tops...

As an FYI, i was at Dollar Tree in Commack this weekend, they have the bubbles, they are plain bottles, no decorations, but it was $1 for i believe a box of 12. Not bad for DIYers if you want to put something decorative on it..............

FH and I were thinking the same idea. I think we may actually so it if the church won't allow rose petals. On the other hand it may be tooo many bubbles. I am not 100% sure yet. Good Luck

I love the idea. You can get the effect that you're looking for without worrying about your guests 'getting it right'.

I loved the idea of bubbles until my family and co-workers pointed out to me that if any bubble soap gets on my dress, it will be noticeable and leave a soap stain on my satin dress, so I decided to do away with bubbles and we'll throw rose petals or something similar.

Not if you get bubbles that are specifically made for weddings!!! It says right on the boxes at michaels -- WILL NOT STAIN WEDDING DRESS!!!!
