Bubbles versus Rose Pedals???

I can't decide whether to have quest shower us with bubbles or pedals after the ceremony. We are getting married October 21st a week before daylight savings. Ceremony ends at 4pm, so I am assuming the sun will be going down by that time. What is everyone else doing? I am afraid that bubbles won't really show in the pics.

Bubbles versus Rose Pedals???

We are doing bubbles - our ceremony will also end at around 4 pm on May 5. I have seen them on some pictures and they look really pretty...I know some newlyweds on here have used them, they should be able to help you. I just thought the bubbles were pretty.

Bubbles versus Rose Pedals???

I may be wrong but I don`t think the sun sets that early in October, especially if you are getting married the week before the clocks are set back. We weren`t allowed to have our guests throw anything so bubbles were the only option. I wasn`t even going to do them but my mother bought some and they look very pretty in the pics.

Bubbles versus Rose Pedals???

Our church won't allow us to throw anything not even rose petals so we're doing bubbles instead. I'm wondering where everyone is buying their bubbles.

Bubbles versus Rose Pedals???

I think we are doing both. Definitely petals, maybe bubbles. I am pretty sure that the sun won't set until around 6 in the middle of October.

Bubbles

Luckily we didn`t have to struggle with a decision on this since our church would only allow bubbles. The pictures we`ve seen where people used bubbles do look pretty. Plus, the bubbles we ordered are in the shape of a wedding cake, a cute little favor for those attending the ceremony. There are lots of other options for bubbles, even a church! As for lighting, I think you`ll be fine at 4:00. If anything, you`ll have a soft lighting at that time, which will only be nicer for photos! But you should have plenty of light.

Lisa Rose

Thanks for remembering :o) I can`t believe it`s over 1 month already. Married life is great. I just got my new driver`s license in the mail yesterday and it`s so weird to have a different name now. We also got our proofs last weekend and they were beautiful. That too was weird - seeing hundreds of pictures of me. Of course my husband is in many but you will see, you really are the center of attention for the camera. We are going on a cruise to Alaska in a month so we are taking a second honeymoon already! I hope you continue to enjoy your plans, it`s so great to be in the planning stage. I really enjoyed the whole process (except for a few bad days of bridezillaness-thank god very few), the wedding day was awesome and now newlywedded bliss :o)

bubbles vs. pedals

I was at a wedding a few weeks ago, and they had both.I know we all don't want to think about it, but they couldn't do either at the church do to rain. I never saw the pedals again, but they brought the bubbles to the reception and encouraged everyone to blow them. Just keep a back-up plan just in case. Good Luck!

Bells Anyone???

We are thinking about having the guests ring little bells when we come out of the church instead of throwing/blowing anything. Is anyone else doing this?

Bubbles

We are also doing bubbles, the same ones as Kel-the ones in the shape of a wedding cake. They are very easy to open. Our church charges a cleanup fee, so we decided to stick with bubbles, plus its much cheaper.

Bubbles on Sale

Just thought some would like to know, I happened to be in Michael's Craft Store earlier (buying a pen to begin addressing my invitations) and noticed they have their 'wedding bubbles' on sale this week. I believe they had different shapes and a case was $4.99
