Bucuti Beach Resort- Aruba

I still have not planned my honeymoon, but I am thinking of Aruba. I wanted to know if anyone has heard or stayed at Bucuti Beach Resort and what they thought of it. Online it looks really nice, but it seems to be away from everything else. I'd appreciate any insight.

TIA

I WENT THERE..

i should put some pics up - i will tonight..

we loved it there.. bucuti is in the middle of the action.. downtown one way, high rises the other..

i liked that it was quiet and seculded beach.. the pool isnt anything great.. DH and i loved laying on the beach, going in the ocean (not pool people)

the rooms were nice - we got a superior.. cont. breakfast every morning (good).. and the food in aruba is AMAZING!!!, so dont get an all-inclusive anywhere..

we were happy with our choice.. we went down to the high rise one night to eat and go to the casino. but other than that - we were downtown or farther for the resturants..

fm me if you need any other details..

We also went there for our HM and we LOVED it! it was perfect/ b/c as maryb said their beach is very private and peaceful and then you can always go downtown if you want some 'excitement'. We basically stayed on the beach all day, and then did something at night, either an activity like the kukukunuuku party bus or just going out to dinner. There is a casino less than 5 minutes from the bucuti so you can also go there at night. We wanted a quiet, relaxing HM and the bucuti was perfect. When we did activities we just took a taxi to the high-rise area, where many of them left from.

Here is a link to my HM review with pictures..hth!

We stayed there and LOVED it. It was perfect for a HM. You are smack dab in the middle of the high rises (alot of activities - snorkeling, dinner cruises go out up there) and the main city (great restaurants, etc). The bus system is super cheap so it is easy to get around to anything you need to.

The hotel itself was great. We stayed in the Tara Suites and definitely recommend them. They are right on the beach. The beach itself is awesome (and is the reason we stayed there). Huge, not too crowded. We remember driving past other hotels and seeing SOOO many people on the beach, so we were SO glad we stayed at Bucuti. It was a perfect peaceful, romantic setting for a HM.

ETA: I agree with the above poster. The pool and hot tub were not great at all, but we prefer the beach, so that wasn't an issue for us. The restaurant on site is also good, and they have a cute beach hut that serves appetizers and frozen drinks/beers.
