Has anyone been recently? I remember reading awhile back that a few girls were booked to have their honeymoon there. The pictures look amazing. The price is really reasonable for what we want for a 10 day honeymoon compared to a Sandals resort. What did you girls think who honeymooned there?

Bucuti & Tara Beach in Aruba
The riu in aruba is amazing. Although the restaurants in Aruba are fantastic I wouldn't stay in an all inclusive.

I'm sorry, I should clarify. Bucuti & Tara Beach is not an all inclusive. And you are right, the restaurants in Aruba are fantastic. You would miss out by staying at some place that is all inclusive :)

Re: Bucuti & Tara Beach in Aruba
We went in April of 2011 for our honeymoon and stayed on palm beach .... I liked that location because we could walk to so many places ... Other hotels restaurants shops
It is really up to you and what you want to do there

I would not be so fast to discount an all inclusive. I went and stayed at the Riu (which is all inclusive). We have breakfast and lunch there and we had dinner elsewhere. The price we got was better than staying at some of the non inclusive places. It was REALLY nice to have alcohol included!

I'm not familiar with that resort, but we went to Aruba for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! We had a blast doing the day jeep tour, jolly pirates snorkeling tour, and we drove to baby beach which is great.

We did the exact same thing ... It was a great experience for us

The Bucuti is absolutely beautiful, I just felt it was a little far from the main area/high rise hotels of Palm Beach. They do have an amazing sunset dinner on the beach.

Re: Bucuti & Tara Beach in Aruba
DH and I stayed at Bucuti for our HM last October. It was AMAZING! I can't say enough good things. The resort is small (about 100 rooms) and very romantic. There are no kids allowed, and almost everyone there is on their HM or celebrating an annivesary.(There were 2 weddings on the beach while we were there). You never have to fight for a spot on the beach or at the pool - there are plenty of lounges, etc everywhere. They give you a red flag on a stick and when you put it in the sand, they come right over to take your drink order (or just bring you another one if they already know what you want). Breakfast is included every day, and we usually had a big enough breakfast to skip lunch and then enjoy one of the great restaurants in Aruba for dinner. DH is not a beach/Caribbean person at all, so I was a little worried, but even he loved it and said he would definitely go back there again. Its very peaceful and quiet - so if you are looking for a lot of excitement, this won't be the place for you. But the high rise section is a 5 minute ($9) cab ride away. I LOVED Bucuti and would highly recommend it! FM me if you have any questions.

I totally agree! Plus the food at the resort I stayed at was so good that we only went out to eat a few times!
