budet receptions

budet receptions

I am looking for 'budget' reception venues. My FI and I are starting to look into Kings of Columbus / American Legions. I have looked at the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside. I also looked into the one in Bayshore. It is pretty but too far from our church.

Our church is in Middle Village Queens (Woodhaven Blvd) so the reception cant be more then 45 minutes from the church.

Any ideas?? TIA

I don't know what you are willing to pay up to, but definitely check out the Coral House. That is where I am having my reception. Frank is wonderful and the price is great for everything we are getting.

I highly suggest Leonard's of Great Neck. We are on a super tight budget and looked at 30 RH's before booking. We got the lowest price and best deal through them. Good luck with your planning!

I would check if your city or town has anything. So many firehouses have very nice function halls, perhaps residents can rent them. (Maybe you need to be related to a firefighter though)
Also a town square gazebo is really pretty for the ceremony.
I am also obsessed with inexpensive ethnic wedding halls, there is a polish one in Riverhead and a German one in Nassau county. Someone here also posted Russian weddings are a good value. I toyed with the idea of doing something latin. I saw an amazing Mexican catering place in New Mexico, I always wondered it there was something here like that.

Verdi's in Whitestone has a party room, I don't think they're that expensive and thats not too far from your church.

I'm most likely using Verdi's of Westbury. I was very impressed with the menu and the hall. From the outside I wasn;'t crazy about it but from my experience with the RH Scouting don't judge a book by it's cover.
The staff was very helpful in answering all my questions and anything they weren't sure about they called me back with an answer.

Very reasonable rates.

I've heard from one of the bosses here that they belong to the Son's of Italy club, every year they hold a banquet at Verdi's of Westbury & that the food is fantastic!

I went to KOC in Oceanside as well, nice menu but for the price they are asking for a sit down you can do Verdi's, or Coral House even.
