Budget

Budget

Wow, I just spent the last hour really working out our budget. We were pretty close to target, but did go a little over I think we will be able to swing it though. Just got my income tax check in the mail, so will be putting it right towards the wedding. I have till Nov to save $2,060 and we will be all set. I have the rest of money already banked. Having a house and paying for a wedding ourselves hasn't been to much fun. It will be all worth it though, I am happy.

I hear you. We are constantly torn between the $ for the house verus the $ for the wedding. The $ that is being spent on the wedding could buy the hotub, the driveway we need to re-do, the porch, the couches for the living room. It's a constant balancing act.

If I could start over, I would scale down on the wedding a lot and put the money toward my home...

Just keep that in mind always! I would give anything to be able to afford a house now. It just isn't in the realm of possibility with a wedding and everything. Be proud of yourself and congrats! You should be able to save the rest, no problem!
