Now that we are official we are starting to figure out our budget for things OTHER than reception.
Can anyone give a GENERAL idea what they budgeted for things like:
Flowers Photos Video Limo/transport Invites
(our music is taken care of by mom already)
Anything else major I am forgetting?
oh yeah
DRESS!!!
I know every budget is different, but maybe some ideas??

Re: budget
Flowers - This really depends on what sort of flowers you want and how many you need. I spent 2500 (small bridal party, smallish wedding using medium priced flowers) and I was very, very careful on what I spent for flowers but made sure I didnt have filler flowers either. You can easily spend 2 or 3x this much without trying or you can bring down that number by about half if you are willing to use less expensive flowers and sparser arrangements.
Photos Again, too much of a range to give you an exact figure. Ive heard of people spending as little as $2K or as much as $11K for basic photography and album packages. I spent about $5K.
Video Anywhere from $500 to $4K. I spent $2K.
Limo/transport $1500 for 4 hours of a '47 Caddy and a 18 passenger Navigator. The prices are all about the same - just depends on what sort of cars you want and how many hours you need them.
Invites I dont remember the exact figure right now but I think I spent $600 on my custom made invites. You can spend a lot less ifyou go with something more basic/premade or make them yourself. You can spend a lot more if you want special printing techniques or something really unusual/hard to create.
Dress Dresses start at about $500 and go up to the $6K range. Prices differ based on quality of fabric, quality of workmanship, complexity of design, style and designer.
Hope that helps!

Re: budget
again you all help me so much..
how much of flower cost typically are centerpeices? Some halls offer centerpeices as part of package, and while I may not love them, if they are nice it will save money...
Extras, not ordered/purchased yet: Wedding Rings: $3,500 My Accessories: $2,000

Re: budget
I would have to say that centerpieces are over 50% of your floral cost. If your hall includes them, and you like them then go for it. It will save you AT LEAST 1K.

Re: budget
As you said the prices vary. I did lots of research on things and found that there are ways to save lots of money. When I first looked at invites I was getting quotes of $600-$1000. After some asking around I found a women who does it out of her house in my town. I picked the exact invite I had been quoted $600 for and got it for $285. She is in Nassau let me know if you want the number. I will try an post the pic.
The centerpieces are the most expensive part. The Millerdige includes roses on the tables so we used those and upgraded our centerpieces.
We are using VIP Studios for Photography. Do a search lots of feedback on them and they have packages rangin from $1500-$3500 (think that was there high-end cost)
Dresses are a big range. I got mine at Lynbrook bridal. Small store (not the fanciest of places) but the dresses were a good price. Let me know if you want more info on that as well. Get your veil on e-bay or in the city. Way cheaper than getting them at a bridal store.
