What is an average photographer/videographer budget?

It depends what you want. 1 or 2 photographers, albums, cd with your pics, all day coverage or only the few hours of the reception.
I would say anywhere from $2,000 to $6,000 is wihtin normal for this area

I agree it depends with your preference. Good ones usually start around $2K and can go high from there.

For both, I would say about $5-$6K is good.

For video I used Gil from Fade to Black NY - reasonable price, works with your budget, super nice and really talented.

For photo I used Rafal and Marcin from RM Digial Photography - they do AMAZING work and will also work with your budget.

The two different photographers I have contacted quoted me $5000/$5500 for both.

For photos, I would say anywhere from $2000-$6000 is normal (depending on how elaborate you want to go). For video, I'd say anywhere from $1500-$4000 is average (again, depending on options).

Our photographer and videographer are costing us $7400 combined. We didn't go with the bare bones packages, but we also didn't get the most expensive ones either.

You really have to decide what is most important to you and where you're willing to spend extra, and where you're willing to cut back.

Thank you all! I was at $4k combined. Finding a videographer for about $2k was not difficult, the photographer in that range is difficult and I don't even want albums. I guess I will have to come up in price.

Check out Starlight Studioz, they do both. Great work and reasonable prices. Can depend on if you want full day or less number of hours
