Budget - Am I crazy?

Hi! Im new and need lots of help.
My 'Soon to Be' and myself are paying for our wedding and I got my 1st reality check...No Credit Cards! Are they serious? How is one expected to pay in cash?
Thats not my question...Im sure everyone has a budget of some sort, my question is 'What was your budget (you dont have to disclose this if u dont want) but did you go over?'

I think we will be going over what we are saving by a little bit. And it's because of the honeymoon. We don't have to pay the balance of our trip until we get there so we can use some of our wedding gifts to pay for that... if need be.

Thanks everyone! We're pretty much rushing this weddng thing. Truth is we've been together for 10 years and enough is enough...think we're gonna look into a personal loan and worry about paying it back later

I have been so good with money because of the wedding. I have not bought myself clothing. Lunch consist of $10-12 a week. I am trying so hard and so far I am pulling thru. You need to cut your costs. I would go to Startbucks daily and now maybe 2 times a month. For groceries I buy what we need and thats it. Thats my advise , cut corners where you can. Congrats and keep the faith. I do not know how I am doing it and I originally did not want to spend 2 much and I am 15k over my original budget, maybe even more when all said and done with.

We paid cash for most of our vendors (we saved that way!).

We were $1000 over our budget but because we actually did not know how much some stuff cost (tux, etc..)

i never asked my vendors if they take CC because if you pay cahs you usually get a discount - i wouldnt want to put all that on my CCs anyway.

we definitely went over budget. we were actually discussing tonight delaying our honeymoon about 7 months so we can do the one we really want

my RH doesn't take credit cards but everyone else does. I plan to pay for the hall, invites, gifts, flowers and the rest is going on credit cards.
