I am ready to start looking into invitations but I have no idea what is a realistic budget. I am ordering approx. 225 and would like to keep the cost down to about $1,000.00 Is that realistic? (excluding postage) I am not picky so i am fine doing a traditional invitation instead of the pocketfold.

Re: Budget for Invitations
I think that should be ok.
I know a few brides who did 125 or so for $500 so i think your on the right track. If your looking for traditional invites then i don't see a problem.

Re: Budget for Invitations
I think that is very realistic. If you're finding them to be out of your range, you could always DIY them.

Re: Budget for Invitations
i paid about 450 for 125... and they were custom designed so i think you should be fine with that budget... i actually only needed 100 invites and spent $100 more than i needed to... so dont overestimate too much... its a waste!

I think it's reasonable.

Re: Budget for Invitations
Honestly, that is too much for invites. I went with Handy Kane and spend less than $200 for 100 invites. This is with the save the date, ceremony card, and envelopes w/ seals. There are a lot of vendors on Ebay that does 50 invites for $25+ particularly for traditional invites. I would suggest to look around first before going with a vendor that will charge that range.

Re: Budget for Invitations
I ordered them online and paid about $300 for 100 invitations. (not pocketfolds) There were cheaper ones too.

Re: Budget for Invitations
I def think you are more than ok with that budget I got 175 pocketfold invitations for about $600 (It would have been $500 if I didnt get the direction cards).
I have found the best prices on line.. You can go to a store to see the actual invite and then order it on line- usually at 20-40% off.
Try these sites that have popular brands at discounts i.e. Birchraft , Carlson, Stylart etc.
Notjustinvitations.com mediaplus.com rexcraft.com
You can also try: annesbridalbargains.com Budgetinvitations.com
Party City also has discount invitations off of Carlson and Birchcraft

Re: Budget for Invitations
I am spending a LOT less on custom invites, so I wouldn't consider $1000, but I only need about 100 anyways...so I guess its doable.

Re: Budget for Invitations
I think that is a very realistic budget. That was actually my original budget for 100 invitations, and I'm spending half of that for custom invitations. So you should definitely be able to do it.

Re: Budget for Invitations
Well the good news is that it seems like I overestimated the cost of invitations and will likely save some $$ YAY!
thanks for the info.

That sounds great. Would you mind sending me an FM with the vendor you used? Thx!
