Budget help - please?!

Budget help - please?!

I'm just starting to plan a Spring 2006 wedding, and I can't seem to get a handle on what to expect from the expenses outside of the reception (Crescent Beach Club). How much should I expect to spend on flowers? I'm not a crazy flower person, so I don't necessitate elaborate flowers, just enough to make it look good. I'd much rather cut on the flower budget so we can invite more friends to be with us on the big day! What about limo and pictures? Again, I'm not looking for top of the line - just enough to make the day special. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having 4 BM's + flower girl; minimal flowers at church; early-afternoon reception.

We did not have a huge flower need either..I had the opportunity to help plan a wedding last year and she used tasteful centerpieces and they were just as effective as the elaborate ones so flowers we saved on. Also try Royalty Limos..they are a vendor on here..ask for Manny.

We use Pretty as a picture in Brooklyn, did a basic album, got a little under 300 proofs and 50 pics in an album. He captured from the house till the end when I changed dresses to leave.

You can have a beautiful wedding and a budget lol.

First off, I want to welcome you & say Congrats! I am expecting to spend $2500 on flowers...I do not want anything spectacular bc I know they will die the next day...I know this number is attainable...Photo's are something I am spending $$ on bc it is the only memories you have once the day is over...I expect to spend $4000-$5000...

everyone is different though! There are definately ways to cut corners!

Everything depends on so many factors so its hard to tell you.

For example, flowers - I'm only spending $1,600 - but I don't need ceremony flowers, I'm only have a maid of honor and 1 bridesmaids - so I don't need a lot of bo-k's. I'm doing low centerpieces, rather than the high ones.

Reception - what day of the week, what time, where, etc...can be totally different costs.

BUt here is a list of things that I spent during my planning. You can use it as guide and add or subtract items as needed. I didn't include prices b/c they can vary drastically depending on your taste. Hope that helps

I'm not a flower person either so flowers were the first to go. I'm only having a MOH and FG. Flowers are costing $950 (that includes tax and delivery charge). Just getting 14 CP, bouquet, MOH bouquet, 2 church pieces, and FG basket.
