Has anyone been able to stay within a budget like this? If so, how many people did you have?
I already have a RH but need everything else, officiant to favors!

If you look around there are ways.
Taking out my honeymoon and rings, I went a little under your cut off. Compromise on a few things and be open to get vendors that are less popular (yet good and affordable). Look at my review, I have tons of tips there.
I ended up at under $15,000 for everything, from rings, to honeymoon, to pics and video (I got my DJ package as a gift, and our rings on sale in Washington DC--less tax).

That was my original budget, but until I got involved in the actually planning everything seems to keep adding up, but I’m trying to keep it as close to 10k as possible.
We’re using Alex Kaplan (http://twoweddingphotographers.com/) for photography. His prices are temporarily reduced because of the economy, so basically we are getting 2 photographers for $800. He does journalistic photography and the other person does traditional He’ll give me the CD and I’ll make the wedding albums myself. I found him on theknot.com
We’re using Couped Up Productions for our videographer. He has great prices. I’ve seen his work and it’s excellent. Plus he is a nice guy and I found him on this website.

that was my budget for 50 guests, and I was able to stay with in (just not including HM). If you have any question or need advice just FM. GL
