Re: Budgets
very realistic! it depends on much you splurge. you can most certainly find quality vendors with a wide range in cost, you gotta shop around to keep your budget low! depending on the time of year you can save a lot of momney per person at your hall. also, you mentioned earlier you're game for a fri night wedding and that helps you save too. my budget when i started was $20,000 (including the $10,000 fi parents are puttig towards it). i think we'll def go over, especially with the honeymoon, prob near $25,000. i didn't know how much everything cost when i first made my bidget, so it was tough to stick to bc everything is way more than i planned! good luck~lacey

Re: Budgets
Your guest list is pretty low, so you shouldn't have trouble staying within your budget.

Re: Budgets
Our guest list is in the 75-90 range and so far we are within our budget of $25,000. Then again, we haven't started planning the HM yet, so that could put us slightly over budget!!

Re: Budgets
You should definitely be able to keep that budget....we're planning on about 120-130 people and have about the same budget...we're doing pretty good so far. We figured out how much we wanted to spend on each vendor (photographer, DJ, florist etc) and haven't gone above on any yet!

Re: Budgets
we had to guarantee 175 people. We're hoping no moe than 180 total.
Our reception alone brought us to about 21000 if it stays at 180 guests.
Fh's parents are paying for his side, and my dad wanted to pay for mine, but I know he can't afford that and I wasn't going to have him take out loans, so I'm covering my side.
FH and my parents are splitting vendor costs which I'm trying to keep at 10K and not a penny more, and hopefully itll stick to that.
so far with DJ, photo and video its at about 5500 so I have 4500 left for limos, invitations and flowers.
All the other things hopefully won't set us back too much and can maybe be part of the 10K vendors budget

Ok you so have to help me you are the budget queen. Where are you getting invitations and your dress? I know you have Vinny for DJ did you save anything with the LIW diamond card? Are you doing the basic DJ package, no MC? And wow you got an amazing deal for fox hollow. I'm going to probably end up with all same vendors at this rate i''m going to have to invite you to my wedding

Re: Budgets
It can be done :) Just do your shopping!!! Get a lot of quotes so that you know what your dealing with. I got a 500 dollar price difference between DJ's for the same thing . I got ranges from 49.95 to 109.00 for per person rates at halls. Don't feel pushed or rushed in by vendors. Good luck!

Having my invitations done by CreativeMontage.com
Having my dress custom made by a dress maker.
ETA: Only having the basic DJ package, with a basic light set.
Um, diamond card, HAVE NEVER USED IT!
FI and I definitely did not want an MC...we're going for something more intimate...don't need an MC that's going to be bugging people to get up and do stuff they don't want to do...if they want to dance...they'll do it on their own. Besides, Vinny serves as a great MC, and isn't invasive at all! He comes with an assistant anyway!
