I have a recipe (sort of) but it's really fatty!!!!!

Once you have the wings, you can either bake them (not what I prefer to do) or fry them in a pan with oil. (You can choose to dip them in a flour/water mixture before frying....but I just throw them in the oil w/o.

In another pan you mix regualr old Tabasco sauce and (cringe) butter.
Cook it to taste (depending on the spiciness desired) and you can either brush the sause over the wings or (as I like to do) make a ton of sauce and just throw them in there!!!!!

Here's my recipe and totally fattening.. I think this is the way to make them-

what I do is a deep fry the chicken wings in canola oil... no breading, floUr etc.. and cook until skin is very crispy and brown.

Then melt (depending on how many wings) 1 stick of butter (i know) with 1/3 cup of Frank's red hot.. it HAS to be franks red hot... once wings are cooked.. toss them in melted butter/red hot.

My FH tells me they taste JUST like the bar.

Here's one for ya! Copy the chicken part from Sage

Once the chicken is nice and crispy I POUR this sauce on it:

1/2 c. of Frank's Hot Sauce in small pot. Heat on LOW. I use more sauce to get a spicier taste!

Melt a stick of butter/margarine while stirring continuously! If you don't continue to stir, the butter and sauce will separate!

If my recipe does not make sense, it's on the back of the bottle! I'm no good at this stuff!

I can tell you that I get A LOT of compliments on my WINGS!

Edited to say: I BAKE my wings!

Re: Buffalo Wing Recipe????

you don't need a deep fryer.. you can use a big pot and put the oil in that.

Re: Buffalo Wing Recipe????

Do you have a pot you use to boil pasta in? I would use the biggest pot you have. You can also use a sautee pan and fill with 1 or 1 1/2 inches of oil.. make sure it's deep though b/c oil expands when heated.

They really aren't bad baked if that is what you prefer.

I always add an extra step to the above recipes. Whether deep fried or baked, after I put the sauce on I bake the sauce in for a few minutes. It gets them really hot. Then I make extra sauce for the side if any guests want to make them hotter

If you go to Costco, they sell a big bag of frozen Buffalo wings - Wings of Fire I think they are called - the brand is Tyson I think. They are very good, just put them in the oven on a cookie sheet. Or at the supermarket you can buy TGI Friday's Buffalo wings in the frozen section, also very good.

Re: Buffalo Wing Recipe????

wow - you guys are quick. No - I am in Queens but a new bar opened on my corner and they have wings advertised - maybe we will try them. If not - it will probably be off to Costco.

What else is on your Superbowl menu's?

I am still debating. We are having 10-15 people. I have a big box of mozzeralla sticks, pizza rolls, and coconut shrimp. I am making probably a couple trays of baked ziti. I am making pigs in a blanket. I am still thinking about what else. We will have sandwiches of some sort - probably 6 foot hero - waiting on the store to call me back. The lots of chips, dips, cheeses, etc.

Anyone else got fun quick picky foods, I can make?

Re: Buffalo Wing Recipe????

I love boneless buffalo wings! I got this recipe from Top Secret Recipes. I tried it once and it came out soooo good!

This clone of Chili's new menu items gives us the zesty flavor of traditional Buffalo chicken wings without the bones or skin. That's because these 'wings' are actually nuggets sliced from chicken breast fillets that are breaded and fried, then smothered with the same type of spicy wing sauce used on typical wings. If you like Buffalo wings, you'll love this recipe. Serve these babies up with some celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing on the side for dipping. Now you can actually eat Buffalo wings with a fork!

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 chicken breast fillets
4-6 cups vegetable oil
1/4 cup Crystal or Frank's Louisiana hot sauce
1 tablespoon margarine

On the side
bleu cheese dressing (for dipping)
celery sticks

1. Combine flour, salt, peppers and paprika in a medium bowl.
2. In another small bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
3. Slice each chicken breast into 6 pieces. Preheat 4-6 cups of vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees.
4. One or two at a time, dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then into the breading blend; then repeat the process so that each piece of chicken is double-coated.
5. When all chicken pieces have been breaded, arrange them on a plate and chill for 15 minutes.
6. When the chicken is done resting, drop each piece into the hot oil and fry for 5-6 minutes or until each piece is browned.
7. As chicken fries, combine the hot sauce and margarine in a small bowl. Microwave sauce for 20-30 seconds or just until the margarine is melted, then stir to combine. You can also use a small saucepan for this step. Just combine the hot sauce and margarine in the saucepan over low heat and stir until margarine is melted and ingredients are blended.
8. When chicken pieces are done frying, remove them to a plate lined with a couple paper towels.
9. Place the chicken pieces into a covered container such as a large jar with a lid. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the container, cover, and then shake gently until each piece of chicken is coated with sauce. Pour the chicken onto a plate and serve the dish with bleu cheese dressing and sliced celery on the side. (http://www.topsecretrecipes.com)
Serves 2-4 as an appetizer.
