Bug Bites!!:O(

i got 'eaten alive' over the weekend and my legs are hurting so bad from all these bug bites...I cannot ecen scratch around one of them because it will open another..they are pretty close and hurt really really bad.....any remedies for these besides calamine lotion because that is not workin!

Cortizone cream helps a little.

I hope you feel better. I have had one on my foot for 6 weeks that just won't go away

take a claratin (or any OTC antihistamine) that will relieve the itch

also..a baking soda paste may help sooth the itch...


I usually make 'x's with my fingernail in the bite to relieve the itch...but I don't think that is good medical advice...

i put that on fh when he gets bites and it stops the itching.

Erica, I do the same with the X's.....haaaa! It ALWAYS makes them feel better!

haha - I agree with stacedz about the 'X'
but, you could try peroxide or Duane Reade has a spray that's pretty good - it takes the itch right out, but I can't remember the name of it.

I 'X' my bug bites too, but then I use rubbing alcohol.
