BUILDING A WEDDING WEBSITE

BUILDING A WEDDING WEBSITE

Has anyone tried to build a wedding website? If so, have you guys tried using sites like WeddingTracker.com or WedORama.com ?

Just want to get a take on what you guys think. Do you think it's worth paying $60-70 to have a personal domain & the convenience of using those pre-built templates?

Thanks, ladies!

I thought about paying to have the personal domain, but it'll only really be in use for about a year, and once friends and family go to the site once they can bookmark it for convenience if they want to.

I used weddingannouncer.com, and the templates are easy to use and give me enough customization.

We have our wedding website through the knot and used their free version. It had templates and was more than adequate for conveying all the necessary information. Personally I couldn't justify spending money on something that people are only going to look at once or twice.

I spent a few hours on friday looking into them. I liked wedquarters.com but when reading the terms of agreement, it said that they are able to use your information without any permission from you. Have you noticed if wedorama or the other one has something like that?
Let me know what you decide on!

I used Wedorama and love it....I love the template and everyone has given us good feedback about our website

It was only like 35.00 because you get 50% off for being a member of the knot which is free....I thought it was worth it....you could do a lot of cool things with their websites and when someone looks you up on the knot your website will show up.

i used wedorama too and love it. it was really easy to put together and i liked that we could choose our own domain name. i did the discount thing from the knot too so it wasn't that big of an expense.

I used the same website and it's great. Why spend money on something that you can get for free. Unless you're really great at web design, the money isn't worth it.

If you plan on keeping the website for OOT friends and family to keep in touch (kind of like a web newsletter) then go for it.

Why pay when you can build your own, user friendly website right here on LIW ...we did it and our family and friends all love it. If you google our names or anyone's names listed on the website ..the link comes up.

We first paid for our name from google and their wedding webste was horrible. It was so hard to create and the FH is computer savvy. Then we found out about ewedding.com and their websites, amazing. You have the free version but we upgraped to the top vrsion, not much more, but we have unlimited posting of photos and people can RSVP to our wedding and our vineyard tour, which was a huge plus for us.
Check them out, they were incredible. I have gotten such amazing reviews from everyone.
FM if you want to take a peek at ours.
Good luck in your choice!
