BULL CHIT!

PLEASE DON'T QUOTE!
soooo for my shower my aunt rsvp'd yes...THEN...2 days before the shower she emailed my mom saying she can't make it bc her daughter had a hs concert. so my mom was upset and said 'well i understand but you rsvp'ed yes and her FMIL is paying for this and I told her you guys were coming because you rsvp'ed yes' so my aunt writes back 'well listen if you're trying to make me feel guilty _insert my moms name here__ it's not gonna happen because my kids come first, if its about money i'll give you the money for the plates' so my mom emailed her back and said '______ your response was totally uncalled for, I am not asking for money...just disappointed bc you rsvped yes' and then my mom blocked her emails.

well after that my cousin messaged me saying sorry they couldn;t make it and she had a concert...so i said NP...and asked if they would be at the wedding...my cousin said 'wouldn't miss it for the world but ___ will be in italy so she won't be there'

FFWD to yesterday...i sent a message to my cousin saying :
'just wanted to double check if you guys will deffinately be at the wedding because I didn't get an RSVP back. I know you said sam will be in Italy :o( can you ask your mom if lil joey will be coming too?? I know sometimes he gets shy so i dunno if he'd want to come but if he does thats awesome...because cousin frankie is coming and he NEVER comes to family functions LOL.'

she writes back with:

Hola Bonita,

My mom never received an invite... goshness I feel so sorry, we won't be able to attend... we do wish you the best, the BEST of luck, and I know you'll have a beautiful wedding, our blessings are with you, and we'll make sure to give you lots of love when you come back from your honeymooon.

Love ya, and Congrats

*** so before they wouldn't miss it for the world...but now they didnt get an invite....********...i know i sent them an invite AND a save the date. i think the mother finally told her kids that her and my mom arent on speaking terms and she doesnt want to come now that that happened. WHAAAAAAAT THE **** EVER!!! I didn't do ANYTHING to her or her kids so if she wants to take it out on me by not attending due to her own spitefulness against my mom let her...she'll be the one missing out.

SORRY...just had to let that out...i've been stewing on that one all day!

Moments like these bring out the best in people. Don't you love it, the show will still go on without them! Sorry you and your mom have to deal with such petty people.

it makes me angry...because after this...if she won't attend my wedding...i want nothing to do with her...but i love them, esp. the kids...but i'm just so pissed bc now even the kids are in on the lie ...because if they didn't know about the wedding and didn't get an invite...how did they know that her sister would be in italy during that time and couldn't make it...its just BS

It is a shame you are in an uncomfortable situation. Don't worry about dealing with it until after your wedding day. On a brigther note you are going to be a Mrs. soon!

Yikes...I'm so sorry she's acting like this....It's terrible - we tend to expect more from 'adults' but it's generally the 'adults' that are the least mature and most selfish! If it's any consolation I feel your pain - my husband's Aunt was a nightmare to deal with during our wedding planning (actully she's a nightmare to deal with in general...!). I hope your Aunt and cousins come to their senses and realize that this is YOUR big day, and that they should be there for you regardless of petty arguments.

sooooo sorry you're in this situation -- if it makes you feel any better, I was in exactly the same boat -- managing the RSVPs was by far the MOST stressful part of wedding planning for me. People were flaky and inconsiderate!! And they RSVPd at the very last minute - ugh. Try to have a Plan B in place and not set your hopes up - people suck!

OMG - that is SUCH crap!!! I would definitely be responding how you are. I can't even handle stuff like this. You're gonna have a great wedding either way, so it's definitely THEIR problem, not yours. But yeah, I'd probably still wanna be a little stand-offish to them even after the wedding is over. It's just not right what they're doing. Such a shame. Try not to stay angry though. It's terrible for families to be ripped a part because of petty disagreements, even though they hurt you. I'm sorry to hear this. Hang in there

Re: BULL CHIT!

Boy that sounds like my cousins. The exact same thing happened to me. My cousin was in a fight with my mom and my cousin ended up saying to her family (father, sisters, cousins) not to go to my wedding. These are 10 People mind you and they originally RSVP'd yes. I was beyond pissed but I said to my mom 'It is thier loss and now I know who my real family is'. I am so sorry they are doing this to you. Unfortunately at this stage in the game is when you find out who your true family and friends are.

You don't need them you will have a great time with or without them.
