Bulldog Grill / Why I Love FH (LONG)
So FH and went to the bulldog grill in amityville tonight to try it out as a place for our RD. Well it is crossed off the list for sure. The food was not that bad, but the menu was kinda limited. More of a wrap and burger bar place then a sit down nice meal place. Well the reason it is crossed off for sure is that as we were leaving, i opened the door and bunked into a guy right in front of it. I said opps sorry, even though the guy was right in front of the only door to enter or exit. Well there were four other guys all standing inside the foyer smoking inside!! It wasn't like it was under an awnig or something they were inside! So after I apologize we go to walk out, that is when it got worse. FH and I are Red Sox fans. I am talking die hard. So I had on my red sox rain coat, because it was pouring all day. Well the guy yells boston *****! (which i could have forgave as a red sox fan in new york). However, then he tells my FH to tame his woman. All his buddies proceed to laugh. Well FH is not a small dude. He is 6'6 220 pounds muscle. Use to play professional baseball in the minors. The reason I love FH today is that he turned around all cool and collected, and told the guy to tame his f'n mouth, and then took my hand and walked to the car. I love him for sticking up for me, but for being mature and walking away. Two years ago he would have slugged the guy for sure. Now things just seem different and he is such a grown man to me. I love him for it. Those drunk a-holes really turned me off to the grill. Even if I had really been set on it, I would not have had my RD there just because of this. So beware girls more of a bar sports place then RD. I do have to say I am a lessings bride and was disappointed in this place. I called the manager when we got in the car and they said he stepped out for about a 1/2 hour. So I called back and they to speak to the manager, and he told me to please accept his dearest apology, and was very kind. I just wanted him to know so he could address it especially since he was off site when it happened. So the saving grace is the manager was very nice but still not a place for us.
