Bummed about shower.....

I am posting under a phonie name as I have family and friends that linger here. And I am really just venting (haha - hence the screenname) that no one even TRIED to keep my shower a surprise. I LOVE surprises and I hate faking being surprised. Well, it doesn't help that i keep peeking at the registry but what is making me feel even worse is that there is soooo much left on there! And no one has bought any of the things I REALLY need. Like appliances and plates. No one even touched all my cookware. How many picture frames do i need? Hahhaha, wow - I really sound like a brat right now. But I went through great lengths to suprise my cousin when i was her maid of honor - I am talking sending her a fake invitation to one of her friend's bridal showers, phonie clues left around the house, phony phone messages that she was meant to overhear and then a wild goose chase the day of her shower sending her to 2 different restaurants before she walked into her party. She LOVED it! She was so confused. It was fun....

Maybe I am being tricked too..... hmmm.

i hear ya! i just posted earlier today about finding out about my shower date!!

Yep - I know what day and where. I think people just don't realize that it's supposed to be a surprise. My SIL told me where it was and then my other friend said that the next day is Father's Day so now I know what weekend it is too! I mean I'm kinda glad to know when it is so I know not to look like a slob but I don't want to fake being surprised !

Ugh - it's not a big deal really - it'll be wonderful either way!

I HAD to know about mine because I had soem family coming in from out of town and I wanted to spend as much time as possible with them..but if it makes you feel better..ALOT of my gifts werent purchased until a few days before the shower...people definately can wait until the last minute..so dont panic yet!! And you can always return those frames to get items that you need!!!
