Bummed out.... need hugs

hi ya girls...

well my wedding is in 10 days..
my FH only brother lives in Seattle, WA. his 3 girls are going to be our flower girls.. well the oldest child has Leukemia and is in the hospital.. (she is in remission, so she just gets infections alot) soooo she and her mother cant come out to LI... i am sooooooooo upset by this, worried about her and how bad i feel for this poor kid.. and that they cant be here!

now things are not going to be the same.. FH is upset already that both his parents wont be there , now his niece on top of that... i feel so terrible. and i should be estatic right now

Can't give you enough hugs on that one!
They will all be with you.... even though they aren't there.. (I know that's easier said than accepted) I am sure they are upset about not being there.. but just think as long as your niece stays put and takes care of her infection.. she will be well again.. and then you can have an 'AFTER PARTY' she gets her dress on and the other 2 girls get their dresses back on too........you get yours on... and you do pictures, a cake, dancing, a whole fun Flower Girl/Bride/Groom Post Wedding Party... celebrating your marriage... AND the fact that she is feeling better

Bad enough that she is sick, but to be left out of the festivities as well.
Deanna, can you send her a little something the day of your wedding, say a little basket of flowers so that she can be a flower girl too, even though she is across the country ?

i still have everything for her... the basket , petals.. present for being in the wedding... maybe i should send it early , instead of when they get home. im sooo confused

Best advise is to ask her mom - would it be ok for you to send her all of the items so that she can have them on your wedding day.
Not sure if your niece to be would be sad or ok with it.

Have them on speaker phone so they can be apart of it all. I know people who have done this. What about setting up a webcam at the wedding.

I'm so sorry

Time has a way of healing wounds so hopefully the excitement of the wedding will grow and the upsetting feelings will subside a little. Congratulations to you both and have a great wedding.
